It must have been so fun and engaging for this Yamato / Lenin / Alsace to have 0 counterplay to an invisible enemy that just perma spams torps and pings. When even CV's are too hard to play for you, WG now has you covered: play all in braindead in a submarine

Yeah even at t6 when most people don’t really know what to do it’s still a pain in the ass to be stuck in a Bayern and have to deal with a cv and 2 subs that could even be like 5 kilometres away

ngl submarine gameplay was very disappointing for me, i was hoping it would work a lot like the new game U-Boat, or the classic Silent Hunter 5, but here its just broken as hell.. homing torpedoes weren't even a thing until so late in the war that it hardly made a dent in the war effort, and submarines have a very finite number of torpedoes on board, even the largest submarine in ww2 - the Sentoku I-400 only had a maximum of 20 Type 95 Torpedoes.
That sounds like someone sunk your favorite ship.

Очень увлекательный геймплей. Торпеды с самонаведением есть, теперь нужно ввести авианосцы с х-вингсами и мастера йоду, который будет бегать по воде и шинковать врагов световым мечом. Тогда будет повод вернуться в игру.
Торпеды с самонаведением - это исторический факт более того американская подлодка во время второй мировой именно такой торпедой умудрилась сама себя потопить))В отличает от танков в кораблях разработчики вводят снаряды или торпеды которые реально существовали во вроемена второй мировой, и ни каких сербоголдовых читерных снарядов нет как в танках))Из трех игр корабли самые сбалансированные
@@animelove1411 Варшипы вообще ни разу не про историческую действительность. Это аркада, при том сильно упрощенная с хрупким балансом, который окончательно шатается как труба после нововведений.
@@animelove1411 историчность? бесконечный боезапас, бумажные проекты, аниме кОпитаны это все конечно исторично. Исторично было то , что половина торпед была бракованных они либо не доплывали до цели либо не взрывались и тонули. Сделали очередной токсичный класс в игре.
Ага и еще вишенка на торте - запуск торпед без погружения на перескопную глубину ,а тупо плывя на поверхности)) Вот я понимаю иторичность)))
@@animelove1411 guided torpedoes we’re introduced so late into the war they had no real effect and I believe your referring to USS Tang in which case that was because the rudder on the torpedo jammed not because it was guided

Is that submarine on speed??? Look at the wake and how fast it is going ... wasn't the wake (and the wake of the torpedos and the wake from the periscope) one of the ways 'real' submarines were spotted? Also wasn't speed underwater significantly slow? If you are underwater shouldn't visibility also be SIGNIFICANTLY less?
To be fair the Type XXI is actually faster submerged than surfaced, that said their top speed certainly is not over 20 knots.

I'm so happy I don't play this game anymore. I can't imagine how it would feel to be top tier and being more or less helpless to change outcome of battle.

The problem with sub is that: once you have been targeted by a sub player, you have to prioritize this sub 100%. It completely throw off the game plan you made previously. For me, the only viable way to counter subs is to charge into them. However that will expose me to many surface enemies. In the end, there’s no ideal way to counter a sub
Nah even if you priorize the sub, you will not be able to kill it. I saw some vids where players try to kill subs. In one of these, I saw a guy that hit a sub with 20+ 152mm HE and also hit it with 11 depth charges and just could kill the sub by ramming it cuz the sub emerged right in front of his ship. I like subs but the way WG put it on WoW is rediculous tbh
@@moonlightsparkle2690 by prioritizing it 100%, I didn’t mean to kill it. I simply meant that you need to pay all your attention to the sub to not get instantly deleted.

okay so the subs could be interesting if the matchmaking was 3 destroyers (ideally) with 2 minimum and only 1 submarine a match.
then atleast no matter where the sub goes it'll either have to stay hidden for a long period of time or go active early and risk being hunted down by 1-2 destroyers.
also ensure all cruisers have depth charges aswell

Cvs were well balanced. Trust me, and destroying planes give tons of XP to players. But subs.... I'm not sure how they will balance this.

The sub is maneuvering like its some sort of race car, completely unrealistic, not to mention the insane reload speed and never ending torpedoes.

I never played any of the Diablo games, but one day I installed the trial of Diablo 2 and found it really good. I might buy Diablo 2 and play through it all. I've been playing WoWs since beta and Subs have killed it for me.

15:43 that is the single most broken thing I've ever seen, the torpedo went S to hit the destroyer lol. Homing torpedoes don't exist at that era
they did, this sub is from 1944 and the first confirmed kills with homing torpedoes were in 1943
Just started playing sub in 2022 this month. Non sense how they are weak af now, and they were broke af back then. 5km away from a bb and still not spotted........

If you want to make it real life Torpedoes back then didn't track much of anything a certain type did and it was very rare but the majority of her Peters are just like the ones on the Destroyers and cruisers Point shoot forget hope it works

I try SO hard with subs. I love subs. I worship subs. I beat the Silent Hunter series TO DEATH! But I cannot figure out sub play in WOWS for the life of me. I think the best I've ever done was 78k dmg. My usual is ~2300 damage and 1-2 torpedo hits.
All my conventional sub knowledge is apparently useless here.
I'll admit I have trouble hitting my attack sonar on DDs and other subs, but even when I do, my locked get purged just before the torps get so close that they are undodgable by that sonar canceling ability that I don't fully understand.

В свое время была проблема эсминец потом авик теперь подводки ура последний гвоздь в крышку этого проекта
Авики понерфили и сами по себе и вводом евро эсминцев у которых пво чуть ли не мощнее пво крейсеров)

@@walker8846 no one who tried to play sub is complaining now. It's a very easy target now and easy to avoid. You don't see subs top scoring in games anymore.
@@Mescherje making them a pointless addition to the game, that only pissed players off for months and detracted from the core gameplay model. Something that still happens today. There might not be a high rate of top scoring games for subs, but the fundamental problems with them are still in place like, shot-gunning ships, ping locations being miles away from the subs true location and torps homing to unpinged ships. It still is more of an annoyance, than a gameplay mechanic and turns players off.
How did Wargaming put it... Just dodge!
But no, subs are not OP at all.
1. Delete homming torps. 2. Reduce torps range to a half. 3. Reduce to a half time while subs can be underwater. 4. Double a time of battery recovery. 5. And then subs will be well ballanced death machines with assassin-kind gameplay style.

No, guys, I dunno what was the World of Ships thinking, but submarine can't ever be a torpedo boat with an additional ability to re-direct their torpedoes towards the ships. It's just lame. Completely lame, not even unrealistic.

Subs are not ok - fix CVs first, establish some trust and learn - then go to Subs.

It's not just BB players. Cruisers are in this incredibly awkward place where they're not maneuverable enough to avoid their torps or chase them, but they get depth charges because they aren't battleships. Seriously, try hunting that thing on a long, cumbersome cruiser like Venezia. You can't spot them, can't chase them and can't avoid their attacks. The only class of ship that's somewhat safe are destroyers, except not really because on top of being depended upon to cap, spot, deal with other DDs and torp, now your teammates are yelling at you to deal with these things and you really can't say no because if you ignore them, then your backup is gone. Some battleships at least get effective long(ish) range air strikes, but not all of them.
Nothing is wrong with WoW except for the players who can't think and breath at the same time, they want simple and easy, but unwilling to adapt? Play another game then no one is listening uo you.

@@jameson1239 He rushed in the open without cover, he isn't relying on a DD screen like he should be doing, he isolated himself away from the ships that could protect him, that is why he died. He made himself an opportune target for the submarine

hä ? Die CVs und DDs haben dich da schon weggebomt. Du bist als Schlachtschiff nur noch Futter und MUSST hinten und eben campen b wenn du was reißen willst sonst wirst du so schnell umfahren das du die Türme gar nicht mehr mitgedreht bekommst.

Was wondering if it is worth it to come back after 2 years of break, after this vid, my anwser is simple: Hell no. Even SPGs in WoT are more balanced.

Очень просто контрится. Большинство игроков сразу делают в штаны, при первом попадания в их импульса. Отсюда пл их топит как детей. Для линкора пл страшна только по борту.
