Thank you for this great unboxing and explanation. I bought this for my nephew and we’re trying to navigate the wide world of magic for the first time.
good video, I bought them to sell. I have been performing for over 30 years and I think this is a great set for the price. And as far as the props, they are kind of THEY ARE WHAT YOU MAKE THEM. Sponge balls and a svengali deck can be a nice little act, and of course a good cups and balls routine has kept people working for decades. Thanks for the review
After considering your question for a day, I suggest 2 options. Option 1 (which I recommend more): The set shown in the video is fine. If you want better versions of some of the props, I’ve added links to find them in the description of the video. Option 2: “Magic for Everyone”, shown in this video below, along with the supplementary material I suggest in the description. ua-cam.com/video/_29-0zgJo0k/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared When I uploaded the Marvin’s Magic set video a year ago, I had an idea of resources that would work for anyone over 10, but those things have, over the span of a year, become unavailable or were not as good as I thought. I’m starting to think this Costco set should universally be considered “square one” because there are so many classic concepts/tricks explained that will come up again later if one learns more magic tricks even if not everything meets my standards. It’s also a low storage commitment because it’s so small, which is a plus.
