Nononononono you have it all wrong. You see, Rin was going to be princess from the start, since it was custom for the eldest female to rise to the throne there. The person you saw at 0:47 was Meiko's father and Len's adopted father Captain Leonhart. His armor is the same as Meiko's because after he was killed by Len (Rin hated him, so she gave the order, not knowing he adopted Len) Meiko wore his armor out of respect.
he didn't actually kill her, he discovered her dead body. it was Ney Futapie (represented by Neru) who killed her, and left the body for Allen to discover.
The king is played by Big Al. And Ney did kill Michaela, it's in Weigenlied, after stabbing Michaela she began cheering like a psycopath (Even if she was still alive... barely). Michaela then died in Allen's arms. While we never get a name (since Michaela doesn't know her), we know she's female, and in the worldguide, there's concept art of Ney changing her hairstyle to disguise herself as Allen.
