Suprasl - Colorful Contemplation

Suprasl + Orthodox Church + Orthodoxy + Iconography
The magnificent Gothic-Byzantine defensive church in Suprasl is a faithful reconstruction of the church from the 16th century. For centuries, frescoes by the Balkan masters of iconography were located there. After the reconstruction was completed, the former interior was also restored.
The multitude of representations filling the church creates a sacred space unparalleled anywhere else in Poland. In the main nave, we find dozens of figures of saints and illustrations for the Akathist of the Annunciation of the Mother of God.
