Thanks for the great tutorial video!
Csak kár,hogy ilyen átalakítást nem lehet Magyarországon megtenni, mert bukta lesz a műszakin.
De a vidi tényleg jó! ( very good video, thx! )
Can you do MK3 Ford Focus please? Getting ready to do mine.
thank you very much!!!
Could you tell me which level of temperature you used to heat headlight in box?
At time 4:20 you are use a sprayer to clean the reflectors lighting
Please What is the name of this sprayer ?
Thanks.
Hello!
Can you tell me, what distance it is between projectors hole?(the aftermarket one)
The horizontal ones and the vertical ones!
Thanks!
No, you didn't understand me!
Not the headlight hole, but the projector hole! I saw you have the projector for sale on your site! This one : www.retrofitlab.com/nl/xenon-projector-kit/bi-xenon-mini-d2s-30-twin-kit-1.html
Hi, one question. Did you close the plastic back cover of the headlamp? It looks like Mini D2S projector is bigger than original one and you cannot close it with this projector.
i did it the same work and it didnt close. Please tell me there is some difrent betweend pre facelift and facelift?
Hi,
Please, what type of glue/Silicone can be use to stick it back again ?
We use Butyl. Please see this link: www.retrofitlab.com/en/butyl-rubber-sealant.html
Which is the latest kit you do for the mk3 mondeo with xenon lights from factory? How much better are your kits than original oem xenon lights? Thanks
This is the newest version, with the new Optimus TR mini projector which can hold D2S bulbs. www.retrofitlab.com/en/ford-mondeo-mk3-2000-2007-bi-xenon-mh1-xenon-headlights.html
And yes, definitely better than new OEM lights.
1 because the projectors itself are better than new OEM ones (light pattern/hot-spot/output)
2 because they have a bi-xenon function.
@@Retrofitlab have you uploaded the correct video showing installation of these please? Thanks
@@martynj-c4965 We don't have a new video, mounting is the same as with the projector used in this video ua-cam.com/video/irlF0bMAxTw/v-deo.html , only the mounting of the bulb in the projector is different, but it is quite easy :-)
Isn't it better to create and use a mounting bracket for that heavy projector?
The screws are too small, and this glue method looks very unreliable.
You could have drilled the projector to utilize existing reflector bores - that would result in much more reliable mount.
Does the cutoff line wiggle on uneven roads due to this projector' excessive weight for the reflector?
Retrofitlab do you have a link for the kit that doesn't require and modification?
Hello! Has this video become somewhat obsolete? The kit that now can be purchased for mk3 Mondeo contains a metal plate with holes. What is to be done differently?
Yes, kinda, when you want to use a large 3"D2S projector, this video is a nice guide. But the smaller 2,5" projector with bracket it way easier to mount, because you don't have to enlarge the hole in the front cover etc.
@@Retrofitlab Thanks for the quick reply. Do you happen to have a video on that? Also I have noticed that there are some install videos where the inlay is not painted? How crucial is to the inlay is to be black (or some other dark color)? And finally, on a scale from 1 to 10, according to EU/Dutch laws, how legal is to modify the headlights? :)
@@sosmarci Yes :-) ua-cam.com/video/irlF0bMAxTw/v-deo.html. Normally it is not needed, but can help in preventing glare from the projector to the sides. Usually it is only done for looks. The kit does not have an e-mark so based on the rules / legislation it is not completely legal.
@@sosmarci You're welcome, please let us know when you have any more questions :-)
I use box method and it caught fire in the end the whole headlight is gone.
At the end, old projector illuminate better than new one! :)))) Good job!
+Retrofitlab The one of the bottom have sharp edges, specific to aftermarket projector, unlike the factory one that have edges more curly like the above one!
I had some aftermarket projectors(morimoto), and now I have OEM headlights with bi-xenon, so I know the difference!
I saw all your videos, you do a great job, but that was my opinion about this headlights!
Thanks!
