Not believing in religion doesn't mean you're an atheist. You could be an agnostic, you can believe there's a Creator but not necessarily a religion. I'm not saying that's wrong or right but we shouldn't be so quick in calling someone an atheist.
Maybe through teachings patient education that person may realise actually the truth is the truth, focus on that rather then the followers of the truth.

Agnostic and Atheist are answers of 2 different questions. One answers the knowledge about the existence of God & and the other answers the belief in it.
If someone asks you - do U believe in God. You should answer Yes(Theist) or No(Atheist). There is no in-between or outside in the question of belief.
