  • This video explains about how to use "Planar Mill" Operation in NX Manufacturing module.
Definition : Removes material in planar cut levels normal to a fixed tool axis.
Define part boundaries parallel to the floor. Part boundaries determine critical cut levels. Select blank boundaries, Select the floor to define the bottom cut level.
Recommended for general use in roughing out large volumes of material on prismatic parts with vertical walls.

Sir.....why we want use multiple operation......if cavity mill and then use z level profile can finish all depth at a same time then why we use planner mill...explain me sir......plz

In this video we are trying to explain planner mill operation only.
However, you are right about cavity mill operation. We can use cavity mill operation with selecting "depth first" in cut order. It performs the same way.

I understand planner mill tool path Generation but In open pocket entry position should be outside to inside
If closed pockets should be ramp plunging with low feedrate
    Can u explain?

Thanks for sharing concern here. We should enter tool from outside to inside in case of open pocket. This is just for understanding the command only. Actually, I wanted to add that part in video but it was increasing length of videos and hence skipped it.

Sir how to know how many material are left...nd which size of cutter are used

To check the thickness of the material which is left after machining you can go to "Verify tool path" or "Simulate machine" then click on "Show thickness by Colour".
You will be displayed the leftover material and it's thickness by coloured plot.
