  • Recently I spent a Sunday afternoon with my friend Tayler to do a complete transformation of my wardrobe, Marie Kondo style.
It initially felt like it was going to be a full on and heavy process, but I was surprised at how much fun it was and how easy it was to find clothes that 'sparked joy' and eliminate a bunch that didn't.
Marie Kondo's organizational method of decluttering your life of stuff so you can have more joy and happiness is all the rage right now.
In this video I share how I used her KonMari method to do a complete wardrobe transformation in one afternoon.
I also share the tips for folding and storage options as well as the before and after!

Happy Birthday Nat. I heard about Marie Kondo a few years ago, and loved her philosophy. I've gone through the 'process' a few times over the past couple of years... when downsizing. When I went through my storage locker again last summer and gave away 2/3 of the last batch of my possessions, I was sure to thank things - not really clothes because I'd already done that the year before - but this time it was my things and my Mum's things. I smile when I think of what the storage people might have thought if they watched me on the close-circuit cameras. I thanked each thing (that I'd preciously decided to keep) and I thanked them and sometimes I took photos and I packed them up to go to new families to Canada (in my area)... and I wished them well and asked them to give joy to their next owner :)
The fact that my precious things went to families who had nothing (and I was told they loved what they received) made it much easier to let go.

It is amazing how quickly stuff builds up once you stay put. I started a trim down last week but this method sounds like a great way to further cut things down.

Dreams Around The World I know right. It’s actually quite amazing how we collect stuff even when we don’t want to. Definitely try this method out. You’ll be amazed
