i think u shouldnt rely on this technique alone for volume. do flat wrapping and then do whatever technique u usually use to get volume after that. it works really great for me because I get a ton of volume (which ive always known how to do and get) but also straight, controlled hair that does what i want (always struggled with this). obviously time consuming tho
Did you blowdry on high speed and high heat? I find that when I use my parlux dryer on these settings it gets too dry after one set of two, so I've been experimenting with lower speed and lower heat. Great technique though, especially if your hair is wavy at all!
