      This has to be one of the most important things for freestyling. Not that I'm very good at it lol. But I see so many people rush like they have to always be saying stuff at every second. These guys who slow down and spit some shorter bars at times so they can think always do better.

    Kendrick said his album was almost called "How Much A Dollar Cost".
    That was the first verse from that particular song.
    He was revealing the "Thesis" for the story of "To Pimp A Butterfly".
    You can't hate that he spit that verse, you should thank the man for sharing a piece of it earlier than you would have experienced it.

    Fascinating watch. Kendrick has always had a very natural relationship with rhythm. He finds pockets that other rappers don't, he's dropping in and out on 16th notes like a jazz drummer might. Watching him do this off the top of his head proves that it's totally natural. That flow is totally unique. Nobody competes with KDot.

      A great track doesn't only consist of great lyrics. It has to be well produced. It's like saying the track "I Used to Love H.E.R." would be dope under the Dora instrumental. The way he changed his voice killed the track in my opinion.

    Everyone is saying this came out before How Much a Dolla Cost but he probably had written it at this point. It takes years to make albums. He was just warming up, and you can see when he shifts to real freestyle.
