Also, like attracts like, so make sure to be self-aware and reflect on your actions/behaviour to grow and mature as a person. And be compassionate to others as you'd be to yourself. These are just my observations & opinions and should be held up to scrutiny.

There was someone at the gym I go to today with a tripod and her phone doing a video. I walked past, casually glanced to confirm my thoughts that’s what she was doing, then went on my way. Good on the one girl for asking if people were okay being in the video. Most people don’t care, it’s not the reason they’re at the gym, but it was still nice of her to be considerate.
They shouldn't be doing it all, no matter how politely they ask. It's still very dispespectful to all the other paying members of the gym. If they are serious about this as some sort of 'influencer' job then set up a space at home or rent your own space to do it in. All these gyms should just ban phones completely.

My pet hate in the gym are those people who get on their phone for several minutes between sets, especially if your waiting for the piece of equipment. The less time resting between sets the more intensity in your workout and greater the results overall.
I agree that hogging a piece of equipment is cringe if you're not using it, but resting for even up to 5 minutes is provably beneficial since it lets you get more reps in overall. Obviously depends on the intensity of the set and tbh 2 minutes' rest is about a good baseline for strength exercises. But you certainly should NOT focus on rattling off sets as quickly one after the other as possible.
I mean, we do cramp every month and hold a baby for 9 months, but honestly, GOD BLESS my bf who who puts up with me during that time lol I’m sure I’m a massive headache all 5 of those days and he loves me through it anyway. He’s not weak

Good on the one girl for asking if people were okay being in the video. Most people don’t care, it’s not the reason they’re at the gym, but it was still nice of her to be considerate.
They shouldn't be doing it all, no matter how politely they ask. It's still very dispespectful to all the other paying members of the gym. If they are serious about this as some sort of 'influencer' job then set up a space at home or rent your own space to do it in. All these gyms should just ban phones completely.

My pet hate in the gym are those people who get on their phone for several minutes between sets, especially if your waiting for the piece of equipment. The less time resting between sets the more intensity in your workout and greater the results overall.
I agree that hogging a piece of equipment is cringe if you're not using it, but resting for even up to 5 minutes is provably beneficial since it lets you get more reps in overall. Obviously depends on the intensity of the set and tbh 2 minutes' rest is about a good baseline for strength exercises. But you certainly should NOT focus on rattling off sets as quickly one after the other as possible.
I mean, we do cramp every month and hold a baby for 9 months, but honestly, GOD BLESS my bf who who puts up with me during that time lol I’m sure I’m a massive headache all 5 of those days and he loves me through it anyway. He’s not weak
