Keep in mind, Ichibei is literally 1 million+ years old, whereas Yhwach is maybe a few thousand years old. He’s a literal toddler in comparison, that’s why Ichibei treats him as such, and tells him not to use him name lightly.
Yet ywach is still gonna fold him, ichibei should’ve known the true threat of ywach

Askin's (aizen lookalike) power explained in the most simple terms: he can manipulate the lethal dose of substances around him, so he can make your own blood poisonous to you.

Yeah lots of Reddit post I read screamed how bad bleach is and after explaining that it doesn’t spoon feed and has symbolIsm etc people said it’s symbolism is pointless as it doesn’t affect story and is just for show nothing else. People stay hating since you could say that about one piece but people don’t t complain and think deeper for anything one piece does. Bleach works well now too as it was written modern like wi th little exposition more emotion and unspoken words

I've been following your channel since you started the Bleach reactions. This is one of my favorite reactions for this cour. As a manga reader, I can tell you cour 3 and 4 will be crazy 😊

10:35 I'm surprised that so few reactors remember Auswählen, which was mentioned in ep 12, when Isshin told Ichigo how his mother, Masaki, died. It wasn't really that long ago.
they explained what the auswhalen was before during isshin explanation to ichigo about how masaki died ( the auswhalen makes yhwach take all of the quincies power that he considers unnecesary and re distribute them to the ones he picks)
and if the former Quincies are in a bad position at the time of the Auswählen, they will potentially die.
Seeing it now animated, we understand why it's so terrifying. It also shows just how much power difference there was between Ichigo's mom & Uryu's. Ichigo's mom survived it, which just stacks how truly powerful she was. No wonder Isshin was so impressed by her. It just reinforces that she is one of the most powerful women in Bleach.

Askin's Shrift (the Aizen cosplayer) basically turn into poison anything he wants for his enemy as long as he gets a "taste" of his enemy's reaitsu. Remember how he tried taunting Mayuri to chase and attack him and Mayuri didn't fall for it?
That's not correct. Askin's power is to induce the lethal dose of any substance that HE ingest to affect those who are around him, including himself. That's why he said "I feel the same way, too..." because it affects the blood in him as well. It has nothing to do with "tasting" his enemy's reaitsu.

I'd say it's less poison and more toxin. He makes an substance lethally toxic at a certain dose. That's why Oetsu was able to defeat Askin. He was constantly cycling new blood into his body below the lethal threshold so he wouldn't die. He found the loophole.
I do love that Askin doesn't like his bad matchups he keeps getting. 😂 He doesn't want to be in the fights he keeps getting in.
Asking power is a little complicated lol but basically he can manipulate the lethal dose of any substance or attack as long as he has been exposed to that substance hence why he was affecting oetsu.

I think a good thing to keep in mind while reading or watching this arc : We've now stepped into the realm of divinities, this isn't fights between persons with powers anymore, this is fights betweens the gods who can distribute thoses powers. The power scaling is on another plane here and the abilities too, I love it so much.
Ichibei can distribute power by erasing name or renaming things, and Ywach ability is to take, split and give souls parts, and with it powers as he chooses, ence why he can give himself back his voice and his arms and self power when Ichibei cut them in half.
BUT power comes from names in Bleach, so Ichibei's power will always surpasses Ywach one's cause he actually needs name to call out power, when Ichibei totally erase a name, Ywach can no longer draw power from it.
Also you can clearly see, when he takes Ichibei "darkness power", it's the techniques wich inspired the badges from cour one, the ones sterritters used to capture bankai, the pose is the same and the swirling effect when it comes back to him too. So the medallions where likely engineered based of this power from Ywach in the first place.
Be prepared to see more and more broken and godlike abilities from a lot of characters from now on, it really is the LORE and mythos arc of Bleach, and it's my favorite for this.
The Zero Squad got so much more love in the anime! In the manga they were taken out immediately!

"kubo was cooking" you don't even know how much he be cooking with Shutara's Bankai scene... Like it's absolutely crazy cool for manga readers for 2 reasons, and the 1 spoiler free reason being that it wasn't in the manga originally!!!
She was also my favorite from Squad 0 originally, but got much less scenes so the amount of love she got in the anime has be SO AMAZING!
Sternritter D says his power is that he can "lower the lethal dosage of blood in the body." So what I interpret that to mean is that he is saying he is changing how much blood in your body it takes to be toxic to you. So in other words, he's not changing the amount of blood, or even changing the blood itself, he's just making it so that the blood you already have becomes toxic to your body. That's what I understand, at least.
Your understanding is correct. He adjusts the bare minimum of a substance you can tolerate before death.

Cause you cant really know where poison ends and blood loss effects being. Its so delicate. Mayuri can counter him easy. I hate that they let Urahara handle that fight in manga, hope they change it for the anime now. I would like to see Pernida vs Urahara more. They need to switch those two battles.

Watching bleach for a second time is definitely a good idea as there is a lot that can be missed initially. For example when byakuya is saying that bankai isn’t an easy feat when ichigo uses it the first time and states members of the five great clans or powerful individuals have only obtained after years of practice. Also that Ukitake says Ichigo looked like kaien shiba. Which we find out that they are cousins as Isshin is from the shiba clan.
Basically, if ichibei paints you black and you lose your name, you lose all the power that was connected to that name and when he named him "black ant" he gave yhwach the strength of a literal black ant. He has an overpowered ability.
But that's the thing bro ...i am an anime watcher and i know he's going to lose against yawach but why man !! why give ichibei a broken power and then kill him easily?? Ichibei is supposed to be the strongest shinigami but the whole fight you can see yawach unfazed!!

Everything about the Squad Zero fight after Nimaiya got shot through the heart is exclusive to the anime.
Considering you guys watched Breaking Bad, I thought you would get the "lethal dosage" part.
Askin says here that judging from Oh Etsu's size he would require to have more than 2 liters of blood in his body to not die of Blood Loss. So, Askin lowered the "lethal dosage" of blood to 1.6 liters, meaning that if he has more than or equal to 1.6 liters of blood in his body, the blood would act as a poison and kill him.
Do you see the dilemma now? He needs more 2 liters of blood for all his organs to function but blood above 1.6 liters is poisonous!
On a side note I Mayuri vs Askin would have been hella interesting!

So, Askin's " Death Dealing " power is to manipulate the " Lethal Dose " of anything in someone's body. So in real life, there's a certain amount of sodium you're allowed to have within your body at any given time before it starts to actually hurt you, if you exceed a certain amount your kidney's could start failing or other vital organs can have very serious complications. His power, makes it so anything he wants will be fatal to you, and as such your organs start to fail rapidly. Like how Oh-Etsu lost his balance and was having major headaches while being affected. He made it so the bloody in his body was literally killing him by lowering his body's tolerance for it. TL;DR: He lowered his body's resistance to bloody, making it so his body was rapidly dying just by having too much blood in it. So, he can just kill you if he wants to use his powers on you.

Cause power scaling was all over the place in manga. Now he is probably gonna fix that. Like battle of Jugram and Tenjoro for example. You cant balanse shit when someone one shots you. And Uryu is still a fodder like he should be. Remember HM arc? Dude was LT lvl max. And in manga he is shown like some uber soldier in TYBW for plot reasons. To explain askins ability “death dealing” in simple terms he can make anything “poisonous” to you by lowering the “lethal dose”(the amount of anything it takes to kill you) for example he lowered ohetsu’s tolerance to his own blood so his own blood was slowly killing him he can do this with anything like salt, reaitsu, and even air so just by breathing you start to die, by also raising his own tolerance to things he becomes immune which is why he is “unkillable” for example if he takes ichigos getsuga tensho once he can then raise his own tolerance to ichigos reiatsu and hence become Unkillable to any attack ichigo does since it won’t effect him anymore since his tolerance for it is so high
So basically do y’all can understand - ichibei’s power is he erased your memory of what you’ve learned on figuring, with his brush and he can give you any memories his brush hit before - he’s basically an author but plot kicks in for Ywatch
Now for Shutars, she manipulates all elements with her fabrics through space and time so she can kill you with any element but at the same time it has you distorted in space time with her fabrics so you have no idea where you are while fighting the elements suited to kill you. I can’t wait until they explain and show it next season (for those whom haven’t read the manga) but ywatch is the ultimate plot armor- he took all the powers of the Quincy you’ve seen but didn’t use it here, he’s making ichibei drain his stamina first-

The reason why Ichigo and Uryu's Moms died was because of Auswahlen. Yhwach used it 9 years ago. It was already mentioned in cour 1, in the backstory.

The animation in the end of the part series of bleach always have to be so perfect and focused to have great emotions experience whoever watches through here. Yooooo the last two episodes were wild.
1. Askins Schrift the death-dealing, put simply, allows him to essentially make anything he wants toxic to someone, in that case, he made Oh-etsu's blood toxic to him.
2. Auswahlen is the Quincy selection process that translates into "consecration", its literally what killed Uryu's mom and indirectly got Ichigo's mom killed. it was mentioned a couple times already in TYBW.
3. Ukitake was afraid of what was gonna happen during the second invasion so that's why he left to go prepare the kamikake, but what that means is a spoiler.
4. Ichibei is "the monk who calls the true name" which is monaka osho, not just because he named all the phenomena of the world, but because names have power and he has power over names. it's why learning your zanpakuto's name has always been emphasized, kubo has been seeding the importance of names throughout the series.
I don't know where or who i heard it from but somebody said that "name gives you power and authority" and it was because of this saying that i understood osho's power 😂
Her Bankai is all brand new never in the manga this was a treat for every bleach fan
FYI Auswahlen was the very same technique that killed both Ichigo's and Uryu's mom in the past.
I'm still editing my reaction video because of all the copyright. It's ridiculous. I was a little disappointed with how the season ended. I didn't know they were going to leave the huge cliffhanger. Gerard Valkyrie is the MIGHTIEST of all Quincy, and Yhwach is the most powerful in Bleach other than Aizen. Gerard could have defeated the Squad Zero members by himself. The only one who MAY stand a chance is Ichibei. MAYBE. I doubt it though.
Also, just to clarify, we dont have confirmation that the Soul King gives powers. Ichibe somehow had one of the Soul King's arms and Yhwach has his eyes. Kamikake is also not a power of the Soul King.

You know how people say that for some substances like mercury, it will be lethal for you only when you ingest it above a certain quantity? That's its lethal dosage. The minimum amount of any substance in your body that can be fatal to you. It's obviously pretty low for poisonous substances, but much higher for others.
Askin's ability is that he can control the lethal dose of any substance in your body, if he ingests is himself. For example, he can make it such that even if you drink an entire glass of mercury, you'll still live by increasing its lethal dosage. Or he can kill you by lowering the lethal dose of otherwise harmless substances

Death dealing takes a bit to wrap your head around. Think about it like this: any substance in the world can kill you if you take too much of it into your body. Poison, metal, water, oxygen...all he does is change that exact amount necessary for both himself and the opponent. If he makes the amount of a specific substance infinite (or an obscenely high amount) he can give the person effectively an immunity to death by that substance, and he can lower the amount to near 0 to give someone a catastrophic reaction to it. He's too theatric about it though and gives his opponent a shred of hope by making the lethal dose just barely too low and not so low it would instantly kill the opponent.
Honestly kind of crazy how much new stuff is in these episodes, (really last 3 episodes with the flashback in 24). They ended things earlier than I thought they would too, so I'm wondering if Yhwach vs Ichibei is going to get anything new because that was the one big thing that was basically 1:1 from the manga.
Also Funfact Senjumarus Bankai was a addition that didnt happen in the Manga. Essentialy Kubo announced that they would flash out Squad 0 way more in the anime.(And he didnt drop the ball).

2(shikai:ichimonji)all the black in the universe/realms is his power to control.Anything he slice/splash his black paint loses his name. Remember name is power,no name means no power.
3(bankai:Shin'uchi: Shirafude Ichimonji)basically has the power to rename everything that got splashed by ichimonji(for example, if ichibei use his bankai to rename gear 5 luffy as ant then it means no more rubber,cartoonish shit,nika fruit all of luffy and his power will be equal to ant ant.
Note:just by unleashing One of the zero division full power is enough to shake the heaven and earth 3 realms and the space in between where ichigo and company.(that is universal feat)

"The Azien look-a-like" name is Askin.
Long story short, Askin can alter how much you can take of something before you die from it. Like how the lethal dose of drinking too much water is 90,000 mgs. Askin could change that to 100,000 mgs so you WOULDNT die upon drinking 90,000 mgs of water OR he could LOWER it to where you die upon just drinking 10mgs of water.
So like say if you light Askin on fire, he can raise the amount of fire he can endure before he reaches the “lethal dose”(death). Essentially making him immune to fire. As you saw him do here, he drank blood so he was able to then adjust Oetsu’s lethal dose of how much blood he could have in his body.
If he is exposed to any substance long enough, he can adjust the lethal dosage of it.
All of the stuff with Kon is the cut content from the manga
So, a bit of clarification on Askin and Ichibei.
Askin's ability is essentially manipulating tolerance to substances. Take salt as an example A couple of tablespoons of salt is lethal to the human body. What Askin does is imbibe salt, allowing him to lower your tolerance to it. He makes it so that you only need one-half teaspoon for salt to suddenly be lethal. He does this with Nimaiya by targeting blood. He lowered Nimaiya's tolerance to his own blood to such a degree that it is poisonous to him to have more than 1.6 liters. However, since Nimaiya will bleed out and die at below 2 liters of blood, if not for Tenjiro, he'd have been screwed.
Ichibei doesn't control the color 'Black' as you think of it. What he's doing is manipulating the ink in which Kubo draws the manga. He's manipulating the fundamental aspects of the series, allowing him to literally blot out other object and characters by inking over them.

Askin (The aizen look alike) had a pretty stange ability but in simple terms whats basically happening is hes lowering the dosage (The amount of blood required for a person) meaning that the more you have would essentially be poisonous towards you and would eventually kill u. Since hes basically having u require less blood then you normally should. So Oetsu cuts himself in order to lose blood so he can meet the requirements for the lowered dosage but thats also fatal because well hes losing blood. So his ability makes it so that u cant have to much blood or to little lol and if u try to lose that amount you'd eventually end up dying to blood loss basically.
