Comment section is misleading, NO you don't have to complete the Raid for something to drop from the chest, you need to complete ANY Encounter and get at least one loot for you to drop. Completing the first encounter as example has a chance to reward you with (Trustee, Legs, Arms or Class Item) if you managed to get arms for example it will be the only item to drop from the chest NOTHING ELSE unless you got additional Rewards from the Raids Collection. This is is the case for EVERY Raid. Also if its not obvious enough, if the only loot you got is the Titan Class Item for example it wont drop when opening this box with your Hunter/Warlock however if you got like Trustee and the Titan Class Item, Hunter & Warlock will have Trustee as a guaranteed drop (if it's the only weapon you got BUT Your Titan will have the Class Item + Trustee in the loot pool, this is a perfect way to farm deepsight for said weapon as long as you have it in the collection) - *ATTENTION!* Those chest dont give coins of conquest anmore.

Wish I'd have known about this a long time ago. Just got a red border Heritage and a nice Commemoration. Only completed the raid once before so I don't have a whole lot to pull from the chest.
Is it sad im only intrested in this for the cloak? Like its a badass cloak but i could literally get one of the best exotics in the game with this Edit: got the mod i wont ever use, i’ll be back when i have the cloak :)

so, just got beyond light, did these on 3 characters, only got mods, is my rng just bad or I cant get raid weapons if i havent done any raid encounters yet? cuz i do this on last wish and i get guns without doing the raid but does it not work the same here? cant do raids cuz i dont have any friends who play this and i dont do lfgs so hoping if i can get guns here and my rn was just bad this week

I think only vog and the most recent raid drop spoils so now that dsc isn't the newest raid, the chests won't drop spoils anymore

Yes, you must complete raid first, then you can get items you once found in your raid runs. Without raid completion you can get just mods... I think

I was using probably mods called: Taking Charge & High-energy Fire
it's the solstice event buff for collecting orbs that match your subclass to buff your abilities, they didn't do it in 2023 for some reason
