Nice tri-ckery!😊 what I also find hypnotizing is to play around with track lengths to something with a length of three as well, e.g. 6 / 12 beats (or even 7/8 but o-oh…now I’m breaking the formulae 😱)

Very nice and instructive. Unfortunately it’s a 6k€ setup I cannot afford 😅, more budget videos please !

I think it’s the workflow rather than the actual equipment. And once you’ll get going you might consider getting more capable gear that does more/sounds better. If you’re an aspiring cyclist, you wouldn’t ask for the most affordable bike but save up to be faster and more efficient. X

Insofar as I understand basic and intermediate music theory within a 12 tone system....
The so called perfect triad is often the first note of a scale or mode (the root). Then the fifth. And then the octave. On guitar atleast, that is a so called "power chord" in basic minor and major scale modality.
    1,5,7 is interesting also.
1,5,9 is very dissonant and sounds like diminished chords. (In basic minor scale)
    1,3,7 is very bluesy.
The same patterns function differently across different scales/modes.
In some ways, this is perhaps not the best formal advice and I would encourage people to learn proper music theory if they want to. The functionality of notes in modes is interesting though. Doubly so when you realize how to overlap modes as melody to complex or even simple chord patterns (phrygian or locrian mode over some chords is simultaneously unexpected yet also sonically/theoretically correct. That definitely changes the vibe tho.)

The 1,3,5 is also usually perfect.
