First week of June randomly fishing some mornings for any fish in my hood. I am always surprised at the type and size of fish that randomly gets hooked here :).
Thank you very much, i use 1/2 oz jigheads when water is decently calm, and go 1 oz if its very fast moving currents. Its a waste of money to use 3/4" doesnt do much for strong currents at exit 5. Each region is different, some places like field 10 in Jones Beach pier when the current is moving fast you need at least 3 oz to 5 oz to get your rigs to stay on bottom.
its exit 5 on belt parkway, theres a 20 car rest stop parking before the exit 5 coming from exit 4, after you exit you can pay for metered parking next to beginning of the Shore line by the Target Outlet megastore. Theres a huge parking lot there you might get towed if they see you walk out the parking lot with a Rod and Reel hehe. What id do is just park in the lot carry your gear walk into the Target and come back out after 2-3 mins then head for the shore, since Fluke fishing is carrying light tackle :D I tell people all my spots, unless its someones backyard lol
For what? Yellowtail flounder is 13" and winter flounder is 12" and these are summer flounders the limit is 18.5". Dec website needs a Law degree to understand lol
@kenshiroryudojo9418 Maybe we can go fishing one time together. I live in the Bay Ridge area and fish the veterans pier and the bike path all the time. I'd love some tips on catching fluke and flounder
@ericmichaelm6545 sounds good but that pier has less fish than say down near exit 4th and exit 5 bay parkway if u want big flounder they at exit 5 rest stop rocky area all over. But i havent fished there since i got my new truck last sept. Too many high and hood ppl park hit and scratch or mess up your car throughout day lol the rest stop used to be fine for my.old rav 4 suv was already dented multiple places but i love.my new pickup lol

I really like your videos. What's the jig head size you used for Fishing in Bensonhurst? Was it a 1/2 oz jig head or a 1 oz jig head?
