Many a host would have crumbled during most of this, but Shaun controlled it really well. He asks the right questions, takes on people’s point of view and isn’t intimidated by anything. You can see how he survived in the supermax.

Especially when that stupid subject is run into the ground as it is already. So I have a word of advice. Hop off of this channel and go find a channel where they don't mind stupid fucking subjects and talking points being brought up. I'm sorry, but I'm just so tired of tools bringing up stupid pointless subjects that has literally no reasoning because it has nothing to do with solving an issue. You know why? Because there wasn't anything to be solved. There are well more important things to be taken care of; instead of people getting butthurt because someone dares to like someone based on one video that someone saw. Obviously people can change; So much so, that colleges have come out and shared their idea for a safespace and they actually got it to happen.

The guy needs to work on his accountability judging from a lot of the interview a lot of internal rage and blaming others and the world for everything. Albeit a horrible life.
But I tell you what he brings up some great points. And Darren handles himself right, works out daily and that in itself gets respect inside and how he obviously did his time.
That is actual respect not fear. You gain respect through your conduct. People aren't blind in prison. If they see a guy working out daily, showing discipline showing character he doesn't have to slap the head off someone.
And that comes with time, spot on there.

Another scouse lad with no money at all, lived really dirty on the wing wearing the same clothes. The skrews didn't give a shit about him. Darren was the only one who just one day said right, here's a few sets of fresh changes of prison kit, you're gonna hand them over to me regularly whilst they're washed, you'll get new sets. This was when he was on the wing laundry.

As an 8 stone 16 year old doing a 7 stretch I learned very quickly that fear demands respect. You'll get no respect in prison without action.

Theres a lot of tension in this interview and fair play to Shaun for keeping it on track and turning it into a decent interview

Ok, so there's two very different schools of thought. What Shaun is saying is respect is based on values. Danny is saying respect is earned from how much you fear the person.
And it's a situation I come across in everyday life, and it can really dramatically change the feel of the environment your in. Basically, society has migrated from values to fear, all because we are increasingly divided amongst ourselves and having to fight for scraps, all orchestrated by the Elite in society.

"Just another Bare Bum in the shower" as Chopper Ried said.
I'm just a man, people have my respect, it's up to the next man to lose it.
Granted a good % of people WILL screw you over in a heartbeat.
Keep what's close close and evict the rest. Family come first.
"I used to like cutting off their toes" "cutting off their toes, what did you like about it"?
"Aa you know...the way they just....pop off"...R.I.P chopper ried

I understand why Darren is putting up barriers because after years of abuse and torment it becomes difficult to imagine anyone could have feelings for you thinking everyone is after something taking advantage through emotions.
I hope things get better for him. ✌

That’s the problem with most people only want to believe what the media prints Liverpool has a very diverse history same as most big city’s Liverpool has always supported the working class as are working class city we have always stood behind working class people eg the miners (no mine’s in Liverpool) but we stood up for them Margaret Thatcher stopped all funding to Liverpool tried to bankrupt the city we are the least funded city in England why because we speak the truth and stand your morals through thick and thin while being attacked by the media and idiots still post things like watch your hubcaps that’s how stupid people are Liverpool and it’s people are real people and are very welcoming that’s why are tourism grows year after year lot of bad peoples in every city
