2020 SANTA FE / CURT HITCH / SPARE TIRE INTERFERENCE

I am sharing an interference that I noticed during the installation of a CURT trailer hitch.
this particular hitch partially obscures the mechanism for raising and lowering the spare tire.
It renders the factory supplied tool to raise and lower the spare tire useless and requires the use of a ratcheting wrench to access the spare tire.

Just FYI you can access the winch from inside the car! Lift up the cover where your jack is and there is a round plastic plug that unscrews with a large straight slot screwdriver. Then you can use your lug wrench to raise and lower the spare.

I was wondering too why he was lowering the spare tire from underneath.
