the bit is a spliner / triple square head, M10 size (at least for the B9 S4 chassis). The bolt itself is an M8 and I haven't measured the thread spacing yet as I haven't done the install. You should use silicone grease on the legs of the new insert before slotting it in place. Also apply Blue Loctite (medium strength, removable) or Permatex blue threadlocker on the first 5-6mm of bolt thread prior to running the old bolts back into the new insert and loosely (by hand or wrench) tightening them by hand before torquing to spec (25 nM or ~18.44 ft-lbs).
