    I think the first item is part of a bottle opener-corkscrew. Thanks for the hunt.

      Thank you, now after two confirmations I think it could really be it. Have a great weekend!

      Oh, that would be nice, thank you! :) Although it came close in my next video (which should be online very soon).
      Have a great day!

    A stroke of luck little frog, wasn't hurt. He was well hidden in the earth. His life literally flashed before his eyes .😅

      Hello Francesca, yes imagine the roof of your house "taking off" after huge thunder all of the sudden... Poor little creature. 🙂 I'm so glad that nothing happened...
      Have a great weekend!

      Thank you Wendy! The nature looked very nice indeed, but the surface (with all of the trash) left some mixed feelings. I wish both aspects would match. 🙂
      Have a great weekend!👍

    Think that frog was a Russian spy in disguise , activated the chopper , stay away from there . Very entertaining , professional work , better luck next time agent 24 . Neil uk out

      Haha, thank you very much for the comment!😄
      It must have been the case! Usually I've been able to spot some Russian spies (camouflaged as "mushroom collectors") this time of year, but not this season, which really surprised me! Maybe they have been replaced... 🐸
      P.s. I will have to take a second look at all the strange looking mushrooms.
      Have a great weekend!

    Nice hunt, I think that item that you showed first at the end is part of a can opener. Don’t quote me on that.

    Do you know more about when it was used as a US Army exercise area? Sometime after 1957?

    • @MetalDetecting24
      @MetalDetecting24  27 днів тому

      I was looking for a map, but couldn't find any info. I assume, this (flat) area was used over short periods of time (maybe until 80's/90s). I often find traces of the U.S. Army in various ("strange") places, not really marked on maps (as such).
      Of course there are proper now abandoned exercising areas, that were out of limit for the public at some point, but I don't think this was the case here.
      Cheers!

    Hi MD24😊 I wanted to ask you for advice if possible please, what is the right pair of coils in your experience? I was thinking of an 11"x35 and a 9"hf...but I can't decide between the elliptical or the round...can you help me?

    • @MetalDetecting24
      @MetalDetecting24  27 днів тому

      Hello, for me the benefit of having the elliptical coil in the woods was not really there (as depth was limited even more). Sure, it "could" separate better due to the shape, but when does such (optimal) scenario really occur in a forest...
      In my case if I could have only one, it would be the round version. This doesn't mean that the elliptical coil wouldn't be beneficial in your case and the type of locations you hunt.
      There also is the Hf vs x35 aspect, but I haven't tried the x35 9" version. The 11" x35 I bought was very noisy (the smaller one could be different).
      I'm afraid I couldn't help you much, but hope that you make the right choice!
      Have a great weekend! 👍

      @MetalDetecting24 Thank you very much, so even having a single hf 9" is the best choice, even compared to the x35 9"? Sorry but they're expensive 😁

    Little frog was probably hibernating. He was sound asleep. I’ve flipped them over in my flower bed before on accident this time of year. They’re so sleepy. I just put them back where they were.

    • @MetalDetecting24
      @MetalDetecting24  27 днів тому +1

      Thank you once again, I hope he was well, just asleep. Maybe that's normal. I should to do some research 🐸
      On my last trip the same happened to me! This time the frog was awake. Hmm...
