Hey man what’s up. Love the video. I find them relaxing. I also want to advise you to not rub the sand off the pennies, you never know if you find something valuable. Use only water no tools.

So great finds and sloppy camera work along with Google Earth will tell you which beach is best to detect. I used to detect NJ but old age will take its toll. So where to look? the next time a hurricane or such rolls up the jersey coast the beach you want to hit is Strathmere. Years ago they dredged up sand to help the beach, fortunately the sand they dredged up was right near a sunken privateer so if you want to find old Spanish colonial coinage try north of Vincent street. Good Luck !

I like your scoop shovel -- handmade handle...where'd you get the base? I can't see spending over $100 of a scoop! Thanks!

Why do you think it is 10k plated?
      What does the hallmark say?

wouldn't that be solid 10kt gold if it was a Irish Claddagh ring and just plated though?

@@peterbicker8389 Inside it is stamped 10 kP and then the makers mark which I haven’t been able to picture clearly yet

@@buriedinthesandmetaldetect2434 Ok, that is what I thought. 10kp stands for 10k "plumb" which means that it is a definite 10k. Plated items would read 10krgp, 10khge, 10kgp, etc. When items are marked just 10k, a percentage of variance is allowed. In other words it can actually be a little under 10k, but when it is marked 10kp, it must be at least 10k and no less. Same goes for the other karats...14k, 18k etc.
      Congratulations!
