This is called the Heuristic method of teaching different from regular and monotonous lecture methods. This method is innovative, interactive and brainstorming. Wow what a teacher! It’s the first time I’m seeing him even after knowing his name for so long! Also, the Indian education system needs a huge reform and this class full of engineering students is proof.
According to me explanation of first must be- •Fingers acting as fulcrum •palm (end part of hand__✋) apply force on one end of stick "Downward" •and Bag on other end also Downward When bag is closest to finger means on fulcrum , you only have to apply 20N force by your Fingers in upward direction only (as you are carrying a vegetable bag), no role of palm comes till now. The point is the person have to apply more Force than 20N because as horizontal distance of bag increases (force by bag remain 20N) from finger the Torque on bag end will increase so as on to the other side (palm side) but palm distance from the finger is not increasing so you have to apply more than 20N Force downward to be in rotational equilibrium. Now the intresting part the Fingers have to equalise both downward forces form bag+palm ,, hence the muscles which are supporting fingers strain more. Note:- muscles which are supporting plam is differnt form finger supporting muscles. Hence net force required to keep the bag at rest by our hand Increases.. No violation of Newtons law. ☮️ I chek the comments to check what other indian students explains about Sir's questions and what I get- "Ye iit vaale hai ya nagar palika vaale...ye arts vaale lagte hai (according to any sensible person -Arts vaale bhi desh chalate hai)... Educators talk a lot about STEM but do a little in the classroom, see this great humble teacher-every teacher of our country must learn from him-how to teach. We speak a lot in training but unfortunately practice nothing in the classroom. So start doing some selfless work for future of our country. If all teachers will contribute, it will bring great change in students. All- what we say -problem solving, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, innovative ideas, logical reasoning will develop.
Though I am 4th year Engineering Student still I Love his way of teaching. We use to see science as a subject before Engineering but now because of teachers like him. I am now well Educated about life, Nature and science. As I have been taught by my close teacher that science is the only way to explore nature , our presence and hopefully, at the end we would know our presence in our world. The love and passion of science can be seen in these teachers, and that what motivate me to love science.

What a great teacher. We loved his concepts of physics books when we were in 12th. I think for translational eq., the force upward would still be 20N. It seems harder to balance the rod as the bag moves further, because now, you have to apply a counter moment to prevent the rod from rotation. This combination of upward force plus the moment makes it seem harder to balance, the further the bag shifts from the person.

In the case of rod, to remain it in rest (Both translational and rotational equilibrium). which want to be accelerate down & also to rotate (if we hinge rod at any point). So to keep it in equilibrium (Both translational & rotational) we have to balance torque (t=r×f) also. To stop it from rotating we have to apply same amount of torque both side of hinge point (fulcrum) so that net torque would be zero. Because larger length is towards bag (suppose 1meater) and we have small length to grip(let it 10cm = .1m) where we have to make two points fulcrum and point to apply force by hand. So it should be t¹=t² f¹r¹=f²r² 20×1=f²×0.1 F²=200N _______________________👇f² ⬇️ f¹ ☝️ ↩️ t² ↪️t¹. fulcrum More larger r1 more force we have to apply. Lesser r² more force we have to apply to keet system in rotational equilibrium. And at the point of fulcrum we have to apply 20N to keep in translational equilibrium.

Except (corrected from Accept) that person on last bench all students are dumb in thought process. I have been teaching 10+2 since 4 year. I have seen that student in india are just raised to give exam. They don't have vision. They just want to get grades only. They don't understand beauty of mathematics. Value of graphs. Colleges are not paying attention towards art of teaching. . When I do this kind of talks to students. They just like they even don't know that what they have studied in 8th or 9th. I want to work on science like this. But I have no fund support for purpose. And education system wants syllabus and notes to be completed and revised.
Absolutely right. I am preparing for JEE, i even got good marks in mains and I "think" my concepts are clear...but the reality is different!! Reality is I will not be able not perform many experiments mentioned and apply other concepts to real life scenarios. Coachings and schools just focus on making students "better grade machines".

Wow what a teacher! It’s the first time I’m seeing him even after knowing his name for so long!
Also, the Indian education system needs a huge reform and this class full of engineering students is proof.
According to me explanation of first must be-
•Fingers acting as fulcrum
•palm (end part of hand__✋) apply force on one end of stick "Downward"
•and Bag on other end also Downward
When bag is closest to finger means on fulcrum , you only have to apply 20N force by your Fingers in upward direction only (as you are carrying a vegetable bag), no role of palm comes till now.
The point is the person have to apply more Force than 20N because as horizontal distance of bag increases (force by bag remain 20N) from finger the Torque on bag end will increase so as on to the other side (palm side) but palm distance from the finger is not increasing so you have to apply more than 20N Force downward to be in rotational equilibrium.
Now the intresting part the Fingers have to equalise both downward forces form bag+palm ,, hence the muscles which are supporting fingers strain more.
Note:- muscles which are supporting plam is differnt form finger supporting muscles.
Hence net force required to keep the bag at rest by our hand Increases..
No violation of Newtons law.

We use to see science as a subject before Engineering but now because of teachers like him. I am now well Educated about life, Nature and science.

What a great teacher. We loved his concepts of physics books when we were in 12th.
I think for translational eq., the force upward would still be 20N. It seems harder to balance the rod as the bag moves further, because now, you have to apply a counter moment to prevent the rod from rotation. This combination of upward force plus the moment makes it seem harder to balance, the further the bag shifts from the person.
force is what causes the "counter moment" so them adding up does not make sense.

In the case of rod,
to remain it in rest (Both translational and rotational equilibrium). which want to be accelerate down & also to rotate (if we hinge rod at any point).
So to keep it in equilibrium (Both translational & rotational) we have to balance torque (t=r×f) also.
To stop it from rotating we have to apply same amount of torque both side of hinge point (fulcrum) so that net torque would be zero.
Because larger length is towards bag (suppose 1meater) and we have small length to grip(let it 10cm = .1m) where we have to make two points fulcrum and point to apply force by hand.
So it should be t¹=t²
f¹r¹=f²r²
20×1=f²×0.1
F²=200N

⬇️ f¹ ☝️ ↩️ t²
↪️t¹. fulcrum
More larger r1 more force we have to apply.
Lesser r² more force we have to apply to keet system in rotational equilibrium.
And at the point of fulcrum we have to apply 20N to keep in translational equilibrium.

I have been teaching 10+2 since 4 year. I have seen that student in india are just raised to give exam. They don't have vision. They just want to get grades only. They don't understand beauty of mathematics. Value of graphs. Colleges are not paying attention towards art of teaching.
