I was selected to attend a seminar organised by our university, and the people who were invited were scientists from Large Hadron Collider. Guess what happened in the selection process? They asked questions from special relativity and I luckily read SR from Sir's book multiple times.

I'm a commerce student but after watching this I just remember my 9th class physics book and now I got the actual practical answers to those defination... Love it too much... Simple to understand Newton's law when you get such teacher.

India needs teachers like him - humble, knowledgeable, down-to-earth and teaches in a very easy way so that concepts are cleared and students understand. What ailing our education system is quality of contents is poor, poor teachers. After seeing Sir Verma's lecture anybody can be attracted towards physics, can develop interest in physics.
I studied Science until 12th grade and then I quit Science...fast forward to the present day (a few months ago), at age 35, I decided to study Maths and Quantum Physics thanks to Sri H.C Verma. Although I'm not sure if this would help me with my career which is more to do with Content writing. But hope to learn much more on this journey. I am grateful to Sri. Educators talk a lot about STEM but do a little in the classroom, see this great humble teacher-every teacher of our country must learn from him-how to teach. We speak a lot in training but unfortunately practice nothing in the classroom. So start doing some selfless work for future of our country. If all teachers will contribute, it will bring great change in students. All- what we say -problem solving, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, innovative ideas, logical reasoning will develop.
12:05 probably Newton's law is applicable on the same point where the force is applied by the earth so if the boy holds the bag exactly at same point where mg is being experienced he can balance it but here as the distance is increased so a torque is produced that prevents the boy from balancing the bag with same 20 newton of force he should apply more force than that to stop the pipe from rotating.
Though I am 4th year Engineering Student still I Love his way of teaching. We use to see science as a subject before Engineering but now because of teachers like him. I am now well Educated about life, Nature and science. As I have been taught by my close teacher that science is the only way to explore nature , our presence and hopefully, at the end we would know our presence in our world. The love and passion of science can be seen in these teachers, and that what motivate me to love science.

I think I found the answer. The hand exerts a force not just in the upward direction but also in the downward direction. If you just apply a force in the upward direction then you won't be able to hold it just by applying 20N.So the exerts a force of say 10N in the downward direction so that the total force in the upward direction is 30N.This balances the total downward direction and Newton's first law is safe. Now the torques of the forces by hand in the upward and downward directions produce a clockwise torque about the axis of rotation which balances the anticlockwise torque by gravity. Thus the system is in both rotational and translational equilibrium. I hope I'm right.

What a great teacher. We loved his concepts of physics books when we were in 12th. I think for translational eq., the force upward would still be 20N. It seems harder to balance the rod as the bag moves further, because now, you have to apply a counter moment to prevent the rod from rotation. This combination of upward force plus the moment makes it seem harder to balance, the further the bag shifts from the person.
These are known as real great teachers , the just make us love to physics , they are not like other teachers who used to say that physics is too hard instead of this these teachers make us realise that physics is amazing

India needs teachers like him - humble, knowledgeable, down-to-earth and teaches in a very easy way so that concepts are cleared and students understand. What ailing our education system is quality of contents is poor, poor teachers. After seeing Sir Verma's lecture anybody can be attracted towards physics, can develop interest in physics.
I studied Science until 12th grade and then I quit Science...fast forward to the present day (a few months ago), at age 35, I decided to study Maths and Quantum Physics thanks to Sri H.C Verma. Although I'm not sure if this would help me with my career which is more to do with Content writing. But hope to learn much more on this journey. I am grateful to Sri. H.C Verma and of course thanks to UA-cam through which I came to know of this legendary Educationist and Scientist.

Educators talk a lot about STEM but do a little in the classroom, see this great humble teacher-every teacher of our country must learn from him-how to teach. We speak a lot in training but unfortunately practice nothing in the classroom. So start doing some selfless work for future of our country. If all teachers will contribute, it will bring great change in students. All- what we say -problem solving, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, innovative ideas, logical reasoning will develop.

12:05 probably Newton's law is applicable on the same point where the force is applied by the earth so if the boy holds the bag exactly at same point where mg is being experienced he can balance it but here as the distance is increased so a torque is produced that prevents the boy from balancing the bag with same 20 newton of force he should apply more force than that to stop the pipe from rotating.

I’m a commerce student and I still know who he is
Though I am 4th year Engineering Student still I Love his way of teaching.
We use to see science as a subject before Engineering but now because of teachers like him. I am now well Educated about life, Nature and science.
As I have been taught by my close teacher that science is the only way to explore nature , our presence and hopefully, at the end we would know our presence in our world.
The love and passion of science can be seen in these teachers, and that what motivate me to love science.
I adore such research,experimental n doubt clearing teacher with good sense of humor. This type of interactions really attracts the young students to science of physics. Well done sir 🥰🥰🤗🙂

Absolutely correct.
I think I found the answer. The hand exerts a force not just in the upward direction but also in the downward direction. If you just apply a force in the upward direction then you won't be able to hold it just by applying 20N.So the exerts a force of say 10N in the downward direction so that the total force in the upward direction is 30N.This balances the total downward direction and Newton's first law is safe. Now the torques of the forces by hand in the upward and downward directions produce a clockwise torque about the axis of rotation which balances the anticlockwise torque by gravity. Thus the system is in both rotational and translational equilibrium. I hope I'm right.

What a great teacher. We loved his concepts of physics books when we were in 12th.
I think for translational eq., the force upward would still be 20N. It seems harder to balance the rod as the bag moves further, because now, you have to apply a counter moment to prevent the rod from rotation. This combination of upward force plus the moment makes it seem harder to balance, the further the bag shifts from the person.
force is what causes the "counter moment" so them adding up does not make sense.
Same hand is applying two forces one upward and one downward by finger and palm respectively balancing the total force to NetZero on the combination
