We use hot wire to keep our dog in and roaming dogs out. It also protects the garden and chickens from the many predators that live around us. Praying you have an amazing garden this year!
My guess is the water content. We have a very large resident black bear, who are naturally very curious anyways and she left 3 sets of canine holes in my greenstalk that I had herbs and lettuce in on our porch but I've noticed over the years that she bites any containers left out that have water in them so I'm guessing she was thirsty and was after water. We silicone the tooth holes and it still functions great. My other greenstalks are in the main garden with electric fencing around it so she doesn't mess with those.
I’m shocked it didn’t break. We may have to do that. We moved our dog with us and he has a full view of the garden. He is a good watch dog so that is helping with the peace of mind.
I’m guessing having Honey bees are not in the future 😂 I agree with you on the Green stalk really handy for kitchen gardens. YOU take care and be safe! I only have coyotes and poisonous snakes to worry about, no bears. That would be one of my sisters as her property butts up to a National park on one side and a fish hatchery on the other with 2 catfish ponds in between. She doesn’t do the Bee hive thing either 😂 GOD bless. P.S. Here’s hoping that you had an amazing Mother’s Day.🌼
They are next! It will just require a lot of hot wire 😆 we also have coyotes and poisonous snakes. It’s fun around here! Her place sounds amazing! Thank you ☺️
We do! I’ll have to post some pictures of the bears around the farm. Hopefully he moves on. We had a juvenile walking around behind the house on that camera. I’m guessing it was that one.

Glad it didn’t break. I think an electric fence around your garden would give you peace of mind.

Maybe it was after the water in the top reservoir?
It could have been. The bears around here are pretty curious and get into everything. They aren’t aggressive. We just have black bears.
Hope he is through playing with the green stalk.
Could it be baby bears? Do you have a game camera?

I saw there are electric mats you can place around these areas…also at base of steps to keep them off the porch. 🙏❤️❤️
