I grew up on Gremlins from my dad showing me the movies and stuff from when he grew up in the 80s. A lot of the people who were young when the first two movies came out are still here, so I think it would be a hit if we get a good director that stays loyal to the original.

The futtermans would of passed though right? And knowing the gremlins they will most likely cooperate but then backstab them at the end. Since the gremlins always have a leader they most likely HATE being bossed around if it’s not their leader.

i mean it makes sense, my generation never grew up with gremlins or movies in that time period, it takes parents who has them on tape or dvd to get to know those films if your lucky in this generation..so it makes sense they would make some form of prequel animated so the youngsters get to know the gremsters better and then do live action instead of being thrown into the leap of faith.

The focus should be on telling a great story, staying true to the original charm, and putting in the time and effort to create something timeless, not just another paycheck production.
