The only Soap Opera that has done a great job is with The Abbott Family on The Young & The Restless. Only Two Actors tanked as Billy but there have been since 1981 Two Jacks, Seven Jills, Three Johns, Seven Billys and Three Ashley's and Two Mamies one of which is dead. Margaurite Ray who died the same day that Dame Barbara Windsor died.
Yeah Phil only beats people up he knows he can beat he did the same when Dennis Rickman went to fight him in the Archers back in 2004 he backed out and had his henchmen beat up Dennis

I think Ruby will be the first. There was a scene last week where he eerily appeared behind her flirting in the Square at night and Ruby offered him a "chip".
