The engine and transmission in these vans far outshine fords as well as the rear axel if it’s the corporate 14 bolt with limited slip. If one’s mechanically inclined, you could build a lifted 2WD G30 with limited slip diff, solid front axel, 4l80e transmission and a built 350 with the 850cfm Quadrajet, headers, vortec heads, elderbrock performer dual plane, probably even rebuild whole engine with higher compression for less than 10 times the cost of some of these ford e350s with the power stroke in them. The Chevy will go anywhere theford can and the built 350 even with 3.73 stock gearing will smoke the shit out of it.
