Anyone know if this is the same Jackie Brown who worked for Southern Organs in Sussex about 1969? I bought my Lowrey from them.
Yes I was the Saturday boy. Jackie Brown was an amazing character, and helped me when my father died .He took me to the Granada Tooting where we spent the afternoon making sure the organ would do what he wanted. The organ's innards were enormous and scattered all around the auditorium. As a 14year old I was both fascinated and totally out of my depth. I still miss him, great guy
@@richardpackham6127 Thanks for this. In 1969 he and his assistant delivered my Lowrey at about 8pm. Then, with the aid of a bottle of scotch he played for the family until gone 2am. A few of the then customers used to go to the shop monthly for a tutorial evening and recital on various organs. He loved the big Farfisa
