- In this video I show you everything you need to know about the Gross Beat plugin. This plugin can be used in almost any DAW but comes stock in FL Studio 20 Signature Edition. It is an incredibly powerful Time and Volume manipulation tool and hopefully this video helps you unlock it's full potential.

video which was the opposite and torturous.
Another cool thing it can do is Analyze Sample or maybe it's called Analyze Wav? It's in one of the pull down menus, so you can have a segment of say a drum beat shaping the envelopes /controller clips, whether in the volume or time sections. I'm not sure what exactly to do with that, but it's cool.

Towards the end you say that this plugin is about (for beginners) trying out presets or modifying presets to make something sound good rather than understanding everything the plugin does, for me that's the most important point and I think you should have said that right at the start of the video. But again, great job !

I've got to say - because of this guy i have progressed very much. Today i can make nearly all the things i wanted to ''know how to make'' but to be honest... the more i know, the more i want to know lol. I guess it's a never-ending process. There is always that thing that is over your skills, so you try to improve yourself ayy. Though - my english speaking needs to be improved at the first place lol
I mostly use gross beat to mangle / give an almost modular granular effect to vocal samples ... Works really well with talking samples , you can get some really interesting results ranging even into percussive sounding stuff

is there a way to have the original melody play in one section of the song, then have it switch to an edited version with the gross beat without creating a new audio clip?
The gross beat applies to the whole pattern
If I keep the same pattern multiple times, the gross beat is applied to all but what if I just want for the last one pattern??

Any have you got any special favorite sample packs for quality 808s? 😊
I always use Serum to make 808s and then I use the virtual tubes collection from slate digital to distort the high end. it's all in the saturation and distortion and it can take a while to get it just right :)
