    Park at the Olde Mill Restaurant. 50 cents per person and the trolleys takes you right to the front gate and runs every 15 minutes. You don't have to spend 30 dollars to park then get on the trolley if you drive straight to Dollywood. Less walking and saves money.

    I have been a season pass holder at Dollywood every year even going back to the summer pass to Silver Dollar City when I was a kid. I agree with everything you said especially number one as back in the day it was an awesome ride.

    We've been going for years, and I don't think that we have ever seen 100% of all that DW has to offer!

    I made the fourth mistake. Granted part of it was a scheduling error. My family and I assumed that Dollywood would be open every day of the week in August, so we went to Pigeon Forge then. We found out the hard way that it was only open on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and weekends in August. This has never happened to me before at any amusement or theme park. At least I learned that it was open every day in June and July. I also asked the receptionist at Cherokee Lodge Condominiums if they do this every year and she said yes.
    For the record, my hometown is Indiana, PA which is over an eight hour drive from Dollywood. Also, Pigeon Forge is full of touristy stuff to do and I want to check that out as well.

    Good fact: go to the park during like a little rain, there are usually no lines because everyone leaves since its raining and most coasters stay open, just dont go during a storm

    I love Dollywood. Only get there about 1-2 times a year. ( mostly Christmas) didn’t get there last year. But one thing to do is eat at Aunt granny. Also buy a suvenere cup it’s cheaper then buying a coke cup.

    Do not use the storage cubbies at the rides! I once did this and a teenager with a similar black bag took mine! Mine had my phone, money, etc. in it. All hers had was extra underwear. When we finally found her by calling my phone, she had spent some of my money and offered me the "change." I would suggest spending money on a locker if you cannot carry your bag around!

    Do you have a video for the best times on when to head to Dollywood especially when Dolly Parton herself is there?

      @TheSmokiesCom  Рік тому +1

      The main time she is expected to be there is during the season opening, usually passholder preview day, which happens in March. She sometimes makes an appearance if the park is having an event to announce updates, expansions or new attractions, etc.

    Heartsong was closed our last visit. Is it up and showing?

    • @ItsDannyRobbins
      @ItsDannyRobbins 2 роки тому

      The Heartsong Theatre regularly changes duties for the park. The best way to see what's going on there is to look at the show schedule, which I believe is posted a week ahead on the park's website. Look under Themepark > Shows and Entertainment > choose your time of year and hope you're lucky.

      You can but most of the time they will still hand you a cup that you then have to pour into the water bottle. Just to keep things sterile. You can also refill bottles in bathrooms and water fountains

      Hi there!
      Dollywood's accessibility page can be found here:
      www.dollywood.com/themepark/guest-services/accessibility/
      Also, they offer a Calming Room to help guests who may have a sensory overload while visiting.

    Another WNTD: Don't attempt to record onride POVs. Dropped/lost phones have injured too many guests already, and they have zero tolerance for those who disobey the rules. Not only will you be responsible for the other's injuries, but you'll also be removed from the park and will not recieve a refund. Nobody wants to watch your terrible and shaky pov anyway.
