hello thanks for the video you say that yeast after such a procedure lasts up to 6 months? I thought that yeast slurry prepared in this way would last a month at most. I read about the method with physiological saline, that then up to a year but it is more complicated to do and your method is simple, at what temperature do you keep it in the fridge?
@@Piotr21429 you are right that it is probably not recommended to use yeast stored for 4-6 months as the yeast you pour in your tank. When I use yeast store more than 3-4 weeks I always make a new starter. And in many cases a 2 step starter due to the size of my fermenter. In my experience though they stay fresh longer than you think as long as everything you used was thoroughly cleaned, boiled and sanitized. But for me I much prefer to make a new starter rather than buying new expensive pouches... I store my yeast at 1-2 degrees, which I understand might not be the case if share the fridge with your groceries. But of course that lower temperature also helps. Thanks and happy brewing 😀
@Brewing3d ok thanks i must try 😁i to do always fiew steps starter i have f100, yeah yeast can be expenssive, and this trick with blowing CO2 hoses into the fermenter is cool 😁 happy brewing 🍻
