Attorney General is highest law officer which counsel govt in some legal matters and representative of central govt in supreme court, whereas CJI doesn't support any govt and can give suo moto decisions regarding cases/ matters...

To become a High Court Judge in India, a candidate must meet the following qualifications:

Citizenship: Be a citizen of India

Education: Have an LLB or LLM degree

Experience: Have at least 10 years of experience as an advocate of a High Court or as a judicial officer in India



Bar Council: Be enrolled under the Bar Council of India

Age: Have a retirement age of 62 years

Judicial Services Exam: Qualify for the Judicial Services Exam for the respective state

The President of India appoints High Court Judges after consulting with the Chief Justice of India and the Governor of the state concerned.
