Im a beginner in the world of succulents, i have loads of that and only now i know the ID.. I just buying what is new plant in our local garden centre here in UK everytime im doing my food shopping, and i just love them because of the babies around the mother plants.. Actually im choosing the more babies in one pot 😊😊 thanks i can put the tag now
Here in Italy we have quite a few native species, so I'm having the chance to observe them in their natural environment every time I'm hiking the mountains around my village. Yes it's true most of them are growing above the tree line, but S. tectorum is growing at much lower altitudes and can be found almost at any elevation. The other species can be found only over 1800m like S arachnoideum, montanum, dolomiticum and the rare Italian endemic S riccii. I grow them in my balcony at 500m on the sea level, and notwithstanding we are in a mountain area, winter it's very cold and summer is very hot and dry with plenty of sunshine and almost no rain for three/four months, they never look like the wild ones no matter how badly I treat them.

I live in New Orleans Louisiana I have a huge oak tree in front of the house a shaded space and I would like to plant a few of those succulents under the tree, would that be a good idea?
ang hens and chicks ko po ay parang gusting tumayo. it has not grown in size ang top leaves (rosette) are ok naman but the bottom leaves grow downwards making the rosette look like it is standing. It is in a bright shaded area lang but gets direct morning sun. Do you think may problema cya?
Downward ung kanyang leaves is an indication na kukang po siya sa light exposure.. it's their way to expose their leaves to catch whatever light is available

If it's literally shaded all day long then it won't be that good... I suggest placing haworthias under that tree...😁
