- Few tips to get ready. First be realistic what the procedure can give you. It is a very powerful procedure. It will tighten the muscles, remove the excess skin, fat and stretch marks of the lower abdomen that liposuction alone will never provide. This comes at a price of a scar and a longer recovery. Second, you will need help at home during the recovery. Especially those "supermoms" that are used to taking care of everyone else. You will need help to take care of you! Plan ahead to have family, friends to help! Third, make sure you have planned enough time off from work. Nothing worse than going back too soon and you aren't ready. Hi Dr. Morales, how do you feel about post-op lymphatic massages, say about 2 weeks from surgery day?
I recommend at 3 weeks. more comfortable.

I give my patients supplements specific for post surgery recovery. important vitamins to take are multivitamin, b12, vitamin c, vitamin d, magnesium.
