I paid off 150k worth of student loans because of Dave Ramsey. I am still debt free. Now, I’m saving money to buy my 1st home next year. I am aiming to buy it in cash to continue to be debt free. I watch Till debt do us part to remind me to keep on working my hardest and not buy any unnecessary stuff.
When the guy says he doesn't know he does cash advances, 3 options: 1- he has a mistress or hookups 2- the cash advances are automatically withdrawn when his account goes in the negative. 3- He has an addiction, gambling for example. Due to the fact they say it's cash, I'm pretty sure he's a cheater or gambler! I mean... was. Pretty sure they didn't make it as a couple.
It’s ironic that financial problems separate couple and then they separate and the problems of being single with children makes it way worse. I struggled being a single Mom but changed my spending habits which helped a lot.
Correction: The oldest profession is agriculture, NOT pr**stitution. Read the Bible---God created man, then made him a gardener and farmer, and it was decades before "other" forms of so-called 'work' came along.
@jb6712 Actually, it really comes down to semantics of occupation vs profession. Agriculture dates from the Neolithic period of 12 000 years ago at the end of the late Holocene (sorry Young Earth Creationists) while the earliest evidence of professional sex work date to 1200BC (most certainly sex work is much older, there's just an absence of evidence). However, that doesn't mean that Neolithic agriculture was a 'profession'. So it really depends on how you view profession vs occupation vs subsistence living.

It's not uncommon today for couples to keep finances separate, and then just have a small shared account for shared expenses. That way if one of them leaves or passes then the other person ahs a next egg that's readily available. It also means they don't have to explain every item they purchase. The issue is neither of them are responsible spenders and you do still need to communicate if you are having financial issues.

"A brand NEW puppy?!" .... I already hate this couple. What's a used puppy then? This one, after giving it to someone else when they can't afford to take care of it.. I just hate people who take animals on an impulse.
So it goes down to: declutter, declutter, declutter and stop buying unnecessary staff. I've recently moved and all my stuff will fit into their closet and still feel I have too much.
I clicked because we have six kids as well and I was hoping to hear what Gail would put in the jars for a family of 8. But it turns out only two of their kids live in the household and Gail didn’t even do their jars. Any thoughts, everyone? What should we spend on food? Clothing/gifts?
It is usually 25% of the income divided out into the jars. Add or subtract from each jar until you find the amount that works for you. If you have extra save it up in an emergency fund. If you don't have enough then you will have to cut back. If you are not able to do the 25% make a list of all your fixed expenses and savings then you get what is left over.

10:00 These are good questions.
She doesn’t work but has 4000$ income? Wtf? Iam doing something wrong in my life
She probably gets at least 1000 of childcare from her children's father.
She may have some redundancy or unemployment benefit also.
Maybe a rental property too...
It doesn't matter other than her having a budget for that money.
Thr joy of living in adultery
It is shocking that people don't know their own costs.
How can they split finances when she is unemployed?
She gets child support and probably alimony
@@xkaokdkl11933 child support and unemplyment
@@xkaokdkl11933 if your remarry alimony is off the table
You can get a free puppy!
Adopt, don't shop.
They can't even take care of themselves and kids. A free puppy needs food, vet visits, vaccinations, etc.
"I'm not afraid of the 40G of debt..." Umm...you are unemployed and going back to school. I'd be at a mind- level worry at least.
I know they have a lot of kids so you can't ever plan what's going to come up with school when it comes to clothing BUT if you're that much in debt I don't even think you should have a clothes budget you have a whole house full of clothes figure it out just saying😬
"A brand NEW puppy?!" .... I already hate this couple. What's a used puppy then? This one, after giving it to someone else when they can't afford to take care of it.. I just hate people who take animals on an impulse.
Why is she not working?
It’s not uncommon for men to get their new Trophy Wives and forget about everything else.
50/50?! No way! Each person pays what each person charged!
My husband is just like Bob😅😅😅
Don't have so many kids if you can't afford them. That is why I only had one.
This show didn’t make any sense …..why isn’t she working ??
She knows her child support will get cut if she gets a job.
@@pugetsound1272 was that mentioned here? Child support is based on the other parents income. So her income is irrelevant.
hey Dave Ramsey why don't u make house calls in the states
Who needs 5 sets of golf clubs?
Also the kids have nothing to do with their horrible spending habits they wilfully chose to spend irresponsibly
Apparently she does not have the luxury to go back to school right now. She needs to work.
So it goes down to: declutter, declutter, declutter and stop buying unnecessary staff. I've recently moved and all my stuff will fit into their closet and still feel I have too much.
I’m so confused why she needs a monthly budget for clothes just for herself
Especially not working.
This is my show!!
Jordan Paige at fun frugal and free has some great videos on monthly food budget. She has a big family. I hope that helps.
Frugal Fit Mom has a big family and gives tips on how to keep the grocery budget low, she spends about $400 per month.
Nice sweet couple ❤. Hope they re now good at managing their finances!
I’ll never overspending money on clothes and shoes ANYMORE PERIOD save money for bills and everything
Good idea because the economy is really bad right now and likely to get worse. Reminds me of the late 1970's/early 1980's.
Me neither
Why wasn't it told plainly that this wife needed a job? First time I've seen that not addressed.
Pets are EXPENSIVE, so are kids. If ur already struggling dont do it
8000 over budget?? One Unemployed ? OMG
they did great!
i'm binge watching these old shows - why is it that in general the men don't seem to be involved in the finances?
Halfway through this episode and there’s something about this couple that feels REALLY off and it’s coming from both of them.
Agreed. It's like do they even like each other? Why are they together?
As soon as she said he was spending $3600 on cash advances on his credit card and he turned all red and said he couldn’t remember where that was going, I knew this man was cheating and see escorts and probably has a coke problem too.
How is she okay with helping him pay off his debt when she's not working? How's she going to pay? Good will? XD
She’s getting paid child support from her ex. The annual income was somewhere in the graphics
@@ChriaraCass Four grand a month from child support?
That should be for the children and their education, not for her toyboys debts @@ChriaraCass
There is a reason he is twice divorced.
Great job✨✨✨✨
Love these videos.
