@@SimplyLivingIt If our mornings weren't so chaotic, I'd probably be a day prepper too! LOL but I HAVE to do it the night before or else everything falls apart 🤣🤣
Love this video…keep shining mamas…Can you let me know where I can get the handwriting composition notebook with spacing it’s amazing and my 3rd and 1st grader would benefit with it…thanks in advance
My plan is to do more night planning this upcoming year.. Its only a few min but makes such a huge difference in the atmosphere!!!!... I'm not sure if I ever told you but my son's name is Elisha and ad your know my name is Kristy. So cool....anyways my UA-cam time is over but it was great catching up and commenting on the videos. I typically watch not comment. However, I understand how important the comments and love truly are. Hugs and thanks for sharing.
I'm a new homeschool mom. I'm trying to prep weekly as I'm just too tired at night. I've got twin 2nd graders and a 15 mo. Trying to balance, so your videos have been so helpful! So glad I found you! What is your kids morning work?
Aww it's a LOT, Mama! Our morning work consists of a devotional, handwriting, spelling, either Explode the Code or a practice worksheet to "refresh" their minds, and Fix-It Grammar!
I do a binder with Mon-Fri pocket dividers for my 1st grade daughter. I put her math, handwriting, explode the code, Spanish and social studies in there for the week. I prep it Thursday afternoon for the following week. I keep a planner, but I only plan the following week in my favorite Frixion eraseable pens so I can erase and move things if needed. 👍🏻 I only have one child in school (baby coming late March/early April) so I can grab our stuff really quick in the morning. Thanks for sharing your methods! ♥️
Can you please share how you go over a State and Capital for Geography? Is there a set of guidelines you follow! New homeschool Mama here 🥰🥰🥰 We’re using Masterbooks for my 7th and 3rd graders💕💕💕 Thanks so much!
Hi, Mama! We are doing Geography-lite this year (we will do more of a curriculum next year.) I will take a state a day to go over it, we color it in the map in their activity books, and review the capitals that we have learned so far! We also have a state/capital memory game that has been such a fun resource!
I can't seem to find the link! 😔 I'm not sure if they took it down or what, but it's not in my past purchases! I am so sorry! If you search for 4th grade morning worksheets, I'm sure you'd be able to find some resources on there! 💜
Where did you get the notebook or what brand is it that your daughter writes her sentences in. I plan by rough over view for the year then by quarter and prepare every Sunday for the week so it takes me only 5 minutes at night to set it out
Do you write out the whole school year at once or just weekly? Meaning the Math L. (Then when you complete it you write the lesson you did for that day.) I’m new to homeschooling, and currently just writing out the lessons we did for math and language arts. My oldest just turned 5, and started kindergarten with TGTB math, handwriting, and language arts.
I write it out weekly because things can change so quickly for us! Or if we decide to take a week break, we can do that without messing up our whole schedule! 🥰
We have been using The Good and the Beautiful Math 1 for Math! They're completely revamping their math right now, and I'm excited to see the changes they make! They should have the new versions out by Fall 2021. For science, we use God's Design for Life. Since I have 2 older kids, we use the older version so we can do it all together, but there is a Beginners version for younger kids! 😊
I’m a weekly prepper. I have a hanging organizer box where each day has its own slot. I split my sons work pages and put them into those daily dividers and he grabs from them. I don’t take out the pages for some of the workbooks but those will sit on his desk so he can easily grab them when he needs them. Side note: where is that planner from? Do you add those tabs on the side that say family, read loud, etc?
Likewise. I bought the 2760 that prints double sided. Saves me so much on ink! Thank you for the recommendation. Great homeschool content, BTW. You're doing a fantastic job, momma! 😀
Mama, you are amazing. I really appreciated the breakdown you provided! Did you teach before homeschooling?? I thought I remembered you sharing that in a previous video. Thank you for sharing step-by-step how you plan your week!
We rotate between morning and night prep over here as school is typically afternoon. I reverse plan after everything is completed. You make this look easy
I’m 8 months pregnant with a toddler and two big boys ... I thought prepping Sunday nights for the entire week would be easy , and let me just say, yeah right! I’m going to try this nightly prep style of planning, thanks for sharing 💕... I & that printer 🖨️ is a must-have for sure.
It's SO hard to find balance, and I've learned that I'll never have it! 😆 I grocery shop on Thursday nights after my husband gets home from work, and he watches the kids! Household stuff is usually done at the end of the week with the kids' help. Work out? Weeeeell...let's just say I'm still trying to figure out where to squeeze that one in 🤣 Usually my quiet time is after school when the kids go play, and I'm able to read or do what I want for a bit. I usually have a baby on me, though! 🤍🤍
We need a mass collab from all our favorite homeschool moms from different states! I live in Virginia and it's my first year homeschooling and have no clue what I need to do by the August 1st dead line 😱
I have found that the most difficult part of our school day is keeping the younger ones appeased, and you have THREE! You are doing so much better than you even know! You've got this, Mama! 🥰🤍
@@OneBlessedMess thank you so much! I love Homeschooling so much I hope to do it with all my kids. But you are right the most difficult part is keeping the younger kids entertained while we are doing school.
It has been amazing not having to spend an arm and a leg on ink! And it is a bummer about math 😔 I think we have decided on trying Saxon next year though after finishing up with TT this school year!
@@OneBlessedMess We use Saxon (level 1, 3 and pre-algebra). First time homeschool mom but I have to say I feel that it is very thorough and my kids are getting a great education. Saxon is very bland compared to other curriculums (no colors or games) but my kids are learning so much and they have video helps you can buy for the older grades too. And because it is spiral my 3rd grader is re-learning her math facts along side my 1st grader just learning them. So I think by the time they get through the elementary levels they will have mastered math facts.
Good morning, mamas! Are you a weekly prepper or more of a daily prepper? Praying you all have a blessed week! 🤍
I am a nightly prepper too! 🙌❤
I am a "day of" prepper...but now I'm thinking I need to prep nightly! Lol! 😂 Girl, you got it going on!!!!😍😶❤
@@SimplyLivingIt If our mornings weren't so chaotic, I'd probably be a day prepper too! LOL but I HAVE to do it the night before or else everything falls apart 🤣🤣
I am most sane when I do both 😁👍.
I am a daily prepper (early morning before the kids wake up)
My problem this first year was not prepping each night for sure so I am starting that for summer now to get better prepared for fall
Love this video…keep shining mamas…Can you let me know where I can get the handwriting composition notebook with spacing it’s amazing and my 3rd and 1st grader would benefit with it…thanks in advance

yes! the days I don't prep for more likely than not end up a mess!
will you be using the same planner for next school year?
Yes I will be!! I love that planner SO much, it's perfect for what I need!
I love your writing.
Thank you, friend! My 3rd grade teacher reprimanded me for having ineligible handwriting and it always stuck with me 🤣

I LOVE the name Elisha! We were torn between that one and Elijah for our 9 year old!
How often are you printing color with the Epson? Thanks!
I print in color once in awhile, but mostly in black and white! 😊

love the Evan Moor books. I use their skill sharpeners
Nerdy question, what pen do you use hahaha???
Hahaha not nerdy at all! I use Sharpie pens! Let me see if I can get a link to the exact ones! ☺
