My dad gave me a worksharp Ken onion, and I never had much luck with. I never thought about using it in the manner that you did. Very cool. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice work! Pretty much the same progression i use when i use my little 1x30. That axe camw out great. I love the lines on it! I do believe ths FSS specs a higher carbon steel like you said. I can't remember the numbers off the top of my head but i remember my Council Tool one being a higher carbon than the standard CT. I did buy mine years ago before thw WR run of them. Though i do believe they are the same.
Seems like a neat little system. Is there any backing plate so you can make a flat grind or can you only use the slack part of the belt making a convex edge ?

I have one and don't think you can put a platin on it for a flat grind
No platin but you can close the gap in between the two rollers decreasing the likely hood of a convex. Thanks for the question bud.
