I have a question…. it’s about the Monopoly game and the Monopoly guy. I know with all my being that the guy had a monocle 🧐. Yes… he did and although he doesn’t in this timeline he did at some point. I know I’m not alone in this. Now…. my question is how does this change actually occur? Is it ‘us’ who remember him with a monocle who have moved to another universe or is it the other universe combining with ours? I know it sounds crazy and like science fiction but I know the monocle was a thing in the game. So…. something happened. I wonder more about how and also exactly when it happened. It’s truly a mystery that really cannot be proven because those of us who remember it correctly (with a monocle) and those who never remembered it that way are both from different universes. We just somehow have managed to occupy the same space now. Truly fascinating.

People's memories suck. I distinctly remember Five times for candy man. Period. Five. Nope never was It three. Saw the movie in the theater. Watched it a few times when it came out on video. People's memories suck
The Mandela Effect isn't about people's memories sucking. I hardly believe that millions of people recall a cornucopia in the fruit of the Loom logo because their memories suck or that they remember dilemma spelled as dilemna because of memory that sucks. Who in their right mind would add a silent n to a word because of their poor memory. The Mandela Effect is a fascinating phenomenon that has caused people to have thousands of alternative memories to reality. Millions of people all sharing the same exact hundreds of alternative memories to things they knew most of their lives is hardly because their memories all suck in the same exact ways.
@@MoneyBags73 It is precisely about the fact that people falsely remember things. And they do so quite often and by the millions. All because people BELIEVE in their own recollection of the facts, that their own BELIEF supercedes accuracy and facts and evidence. And because peoples memories really suck, It's even more difficult to explain to them that 'no, it wasn't like that your memory sucks'. I'm no expert but I will say this : A person might forget your middle name or what classes you had in high school together. Or what the color of your first car was or heck just about anything under the sun....But a person will never forget the way you make them feel. And monyebags, you will never know how satisfying it is to know that you will make the mistake of reading this and not finding out until the last word that I spelled monyebags wrong on purpose 😮
@imbecilical You come across as an illogical person. If this phenomenon was due to people's recollection , they should be recollecting things in different wrong ways. Not all in the same exact wrong way. Do some research. I know all about the fallibility of human memory. This is an incredible phenomenon whether you can handle it or not.
@imbecilical Nice name by the way. So someone's memory sucks really bad and because of that they add a cornucopia to a logo of fruit they have seen hundreds of times throughout their lives. Millions of others have bad memory and they are all going to do the same thing. 😆 🤣
Yeah 3 is just so common with other things you have to repeat. Heck even Beetlejuice is said 3 times. So it’s not hard to see how people attribute that to Candyman.
Many supernatural entities are 3 times. Beetlejuice, Bloody Mary, etc. It's the "trend." Which makes this both weirder and more normal at the same time, lol. I also remember it three times, but with this specific one, I'm certain I can be wrong. I saw it a bunch as a kid, but not really since, so definitely the possibility of memory failure here.
There used to be a UK TV show in the mid 1980's called 'Boon'. Scottish singer Jim Diamond sung the title music which got to Number 5 in the UK singles charts in 1986. The main chorus goes: "Hi ho silver, here come the lone ranger, he's riding on down to rescue me"
I don't believe in the Mandela effect but it's a fun and interesting topic. Humans can't time travel but what if an AI can? Maybe an AI is going back in time and changing things to mess with us...wouldn't that be fun?
Is this your original theory? Cuz that's really cool and could explain small mistakes like how a.i. generated images often have small mistakes(hands w/ six fingers, objects floating or at impossible angles) its a cool thought.
Freddy Krueger’s sweater is and always has been red and green. Those who say red and black or red and gray are wrong. I spent the better part of my life correcting people on this and I remember seen the movie in theaters and thinking that there was some connection between his sweater and Christmas that would be revealed later. The Eurythmics song has always been Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) so anyone who’s been singing it differently is doing it because they’re imitating the way that Annie Lennox says “this” in one of the lines in the song where it sounds like these, but it’s not. she’s just trying to make it sound like a rhyme with seas later on. The title of the song includes “this” in the parenthesis and always has., Mandela effects are not signs of parallel universes or alternate multi-verses, they’re a sign of people getting song lyrics wrong all the time. They also show how bad people are at remembering details and also how wrong people can be when they swear they’re right.

Those of us in the mandela effect community here on youtube (many of us contributing to those 2 subreddits), know something that people casually interested in the mandela effect do not realize…NO ONE is affected by every mandela effect. The candyman mandela has such residue supporting a reality where the name was said 3x (residue would be others memories but more importantly, the song lyrics) in addition to the current reality 5x. The more you delve into the mandela effect, the more you will realize that there are frequently more than 2 reality timeline memories. One of the mandela effects I found was the Britney spears hit me baby one more time skirt. Most remember a plaid skirt, but the skirt in this reality is solid black. But those that remember plaid, are split. Some remember a black/grey/white plaid skirt while others remember the traditional (& very popular at the time) red tartan plaid skirt. 3 timelines not two. My short on this ME shows the options but its the residue that is crazy…from Halloween costumes, to official Britney toys, everyone is in plaid. But the best residue id Britney herself. Not once but TWICE, Britney recreated the look for an event, either halloween or the anniversary of the song i cannot remember which. And BOTH TIMES, she recreated the look with a black/grey/white plaid skirt. I see new mandela’s every single day. I present them live each week and have been doing so for almost 6 years now. There are so many mandela effects, so many types of mandela effects, and even terminology we have had to invent to describe what we were seeing like residue, variation effect & manscuses (i coined that one, excuses that are used to explain away a mandela effect). The rabbit hole goes deep, its not just pop culture but differences with historical events, the galaxy, solar system, planets including our own, and rainbows, lots of rainbow things. Things get mandelad multiple times, too, like the statue of liberty, back to the future, the WTC, and star wars. Multiple mandelas multiple times and we have the records to show these incremental shifts in our timeline. But what it has NEVER been is faulty memory. I prove that each week. With residue and multiple people remembering things the same way…the way it is NOT today. Also theories, i have my own, but half of at least do NOT believe we live in a simulation. People always use that theory but it’s just lazy, it’s too easy. And cern is not causing this either..
The thing about the sweater is easily debunked. It's a movie prop, there's going to be dozens of them to replace ones that get torn up and dingy. It's quite possible that in the batch they had, not all the sweaters were dyed/blended the same way and had variations of the green/grey/black tone. It happens all the time and most often is due to filming incontinuity in which they need replacements later on to reshoot a scene.
Snoopy's tail is white and always has been. I am 56 years old and I was all about Peanuts when I was a kid in the 70s. All my Snoopy plushies have white tails. Sometimes the way Charles M. Schulz drew the 2 lines he used to draw the tail a little close and it would look darker but the tail was still shite, not colored in. NEVER was it black. I watched The Lone Ranger every single day, it was HI HO SILVER, AWAY! although sometimes when he yelled it, it sounded like "hi-yo." HI HO was a way of getting the horse to giddy-up, and Silver would rear up when he yelled it. How can you cover anomalies when you can't even pronounce "Eurythmics" correctly?! Eurythmatics?! LOL _really?!_ Come on man.Sweet dreams are made of THIS.
The only time Snoopy's tail has been thin and black is when it's shown as motion lines when dancing. As a teen I always thought Sweet Dreams was 'these' but I'm happy to admit I was wrong. If it has any relevance at all, people seem to forget Annie Lennox is Scottish (Dave Stewart was born in Sunderland) and the difference between 'this' and 'these' in pronunciation may not have been as significant when she and Dave Stewart wrote the song. It could just be poetic licence to match the rhyming structure.

Freddy’s Sweater has always been green and red. I’m sure it appears different on everyone’s screens depending upon the settings but pictures on the internet could have all kinds of causing the colors to be off. I believe in the original Nightmare on Elm Street his sweater didn’t have stripes on the sleeves but the torso was red and green and it’s always been red and green. The colors were specifically chosen to be red and green as part of the character.
Disney's The Sword in the Stone was always in an anvil. If you look at the length of the sword, you can see that it goes through the anvil and into the stone, thus it is stuck in both. The Sword in the Stone at Disneyland is exactly the same. When Wart is asked about where he got the sword, he said, "I pulled it out of an anvil that was on a stone."
If you squint just a tiny bit, the anvil already does not look like an anvil anymore and instead looks like a weirdly shaped rock ontop of the other rock. It is likely a similar case to "nausicaa is bottomless" where the low videoquality and some poor color saturation of earlier copies made the pants/anvil vanish, but they are properly restored in newer copies of the animation.
Can someone please cover "I'll be home for Christmas" it was always "you can count on me," now it's "you can PLAN on me." The only residual of "count on me" is written in the lyrics, under the michael buble version, on spotify (but he still sings "plan" instead of "count")

Wargames was the movie that had the line, "Do you want to play a game?", it was also used in the marketing of the movie, so many people probably saw the advertising even if they didn't see the movie. I saw the movie. There have been many songs that were written one way and when they went to record the song, the words didn't fit so they changed a word but didn't change the liner notes to show the new lyrics. I have noticed this on a couple of other European bands CD's.
My daughter and I are huge cinefiles and remembered Candy Man being said 5 times, Freddy's shirt being red and green along with Jigsaw saying "I want to play a game". I think sometimes other movie quotes that are similar do mess with our memories of other quotes, just like I always thought Darth Vader said "Luke, I am your father". 🤦🏼♀️IDK
I've also heard that line "would you like to play a little game". We just make shit up and then decide wild reasons why it isn't made up. I still wonder how many of my own memories are real and how many I just invented from stories.
Candy man was 3 times because we dared each other to do it after watching the film. Plus one of my favourite songs ‘candy man’ by space hog sings the line 3 times and I knew someone who refused to sing it but I would say ‘yeah but you sing the verse twice so it’s actually 6 times’
The guy with the Mandela Effect around 'Candyman' may have confused it with the 'Bloody Mary' legend, whose name also has to be said 3 times to summon her into one's mirror.
My mom gave me a Snoopy plush when I was about 3 years old (1968-ish). It's got a Peanuts tag on the back and a short, entirely black tail. I still have it and when I looked I was surprised because I expected the tail to be white.

I'm really confused, since when can you summon Rumpelstilzchen with his name? You can win free of your deal with him if you tell him his true name. He's summoned by your despair.
I'm convinced that the Narrator is an Artificial Intelligence robot. 😏
Red and green...
Green and red....
I saw that movie YEARS ago, but the part where you have to say the name five times was in the ads. The two women saying, "Candyman, Candyman, Candyman, Candyman,..." And then only the ONE woman saying it the fifth time.
The main character (Heather Langencamp?) describes Freddy as wearing a red and green sweater in the first movie. Fun video.
exactly
14:37 Arithmetics?
24:52 you hurried that mic drop, bro
14:36 since english is not my native language I got a massive headache with this entire section
11:30 love how the dude inmediately jumps to "I´m from another dimension" like he was peter griffin rather than admit his wife was right
Wait...is there another Mandela effect with the Eurythmics band name? 😮
I have been laughing at that..... EURITHMITIC..... ?
I wondered if anyone caught that. I thought he said Arithmetics, instead of Eurythmics.
They were always "The Eurythmics" in another more familiar reality for me not just "Eurythmics"
😅
I literally nearly choked on my coffee laughing
It's the way Annie Lennox sings the word. It has always been this.
Yep
I didn't realize that until I saw your comment... it is the way she pronounces this... good observation 👍
Yes. She kinda carries the "thiiis".
exactly lol, and then they go onto say that "sweet dreams are made of these" would make more sense... who or what would "these" be? 😅
She also said that she was singing about her career not working out as she'd thought at the time, and that the world was a much more cruel place than she'd realized. "Sweet dreams are made of this, who am I to disagree? (trying to make it in the music industry) Travel the world and the seven seas, everybodys looking for something"
@@jenguerinnn I remember when the Sweet Dreams song came out (yes, I am that old) and I thought she was singing "these" at the time. But I discovered she was singing "this" back then, as I had read the lyrics in the 80's. It's just the way she sung it as she dragged it out.
I absolutely recall the monocle and no amount of arguing can change my mind.
@@RobScenity yeah on the 2 dollar note monopoly junior 1996 and still does
@@noiamyourfather1104Never heard of Monopoly junior, but I know he had a monocle
I agree. I used to play monopoly as a little kid and always wondered how he kept the monocle on his face. Mr Moneybags 100% had a monocle.
He had a monocle yes
Maybe Candyman and Bloody Mary are mixed up but I remember Candyman being 3 times.
Great video❤👍🏾! Mandela effects are always an interesting topic and you had some really good ones in this video😎.
It's always been "Hi-yo, Silver, away!" but yes the dwarves said "Hi-ho, hi- ho, it's off to work we go"
It's pretend to pray because the song is about trying to believe and it's a struggle.
I remember clearly I BEGAN to pray, I really need to KNOW. Wasnt pretend to play that makes no sense there was no one in the church to pretend anything.
It makes no sense to pretend to pray . Plus it’s all about hearing what people believe they hear.
People's memories suck. I distinctly remember Five times for candy man. Period. Five. Nope never was It three. Saw the movie in the theater. Watched it a few times when it came out on video. People's memories suck
3 times was bloody Mary in the mirror to summon
The sweater was red and green, they used
those colors specifically because they are difficult to process the two colors when next to each other.
Candyman getting crossed with Beetlejuice. HIS name was 3 times. Rumplestiltskin wasn't repeating his name. You had to GUESS his name.
Rumpelstiltskin was always abiut guessing his name.
Candyman has always been 5 times ,my cousins and i were addicted to that movie lol
Yeah 3 is just so common with other things you have to repeat. Heck even Beetlejuice is said 3 times. So it’s not hard to see how people attribute that to Candyman.
It was bloody Mary 3 times in the mirror to summon
Yep, it was always 5 times. I wanna say 3 came from the Bloody Mary urban legend and stuff like Beetlejuice
It's 3 you're a fake universe clone😂
Homebody talking about strange lyrics while saying Eurhymatics.
People mixing Candyman and Beetlejuice. Candyman 5x, Beetlejuice 3x. And there is no Mandela effect.
Too easy to get confused. Five seems weird as most are 3 times, but this is just faulty memory. Most Mandela Effects are.
Don’t forget Bloody Mary
Totally BeetleJuice 3x...i still say it all the time in my head.(i don't know why.)
“Jaws” girlfriend in the 007 film Moonraker. She now doesn’t have braces on her teeth. I swear she did!
There used to be a UK TV show in the mid 1980's called 'Boon'. Scottish singer Jim Diamond sung the title music which got to Number 5 in the UK singles charts in 1986. The main chorus goes: "Hi ho silver, here come the lone ranger, he's riding on down to rescue me"
im in the uk i never heard of jim diamond and im nearly 50
It's hi-yo Silver...away!
We time travel every time we look up at the night sky, seeing the solar system from different points in the past

They also show how bad people are at remembering details and also how wrong people can be when they swear they’re right.
absolutely, Freddy Krueger's sweater was dark red and dark green, building a connection to Christmas' colors.
At an old job I had a coworker who wore a green and red sweater and we always called it the Freddy Kreuger shirt when he wore it.
I always remeber red and black. I was born in the 80's
@@HoniTheCircleMaker13 that’s likely the effect of the dark lighting and aging done to the sweater by the movie costume crew but it has always been red and green
@@aysada maybe, but if you would have asked me, I would have said red and black, so I'm sure others feel the same. Never knew people even thought it was green 🤷
When you're dealing with super dark green colors, in dim lighting, it can simply be confused as black, so not necessarily a Mandela effect
Jigsaw always just says 'I wanna play a game" RIGHT?! 🤔🤔
no... "do you wanna play a game"
@Nobe_Oddy

So he asks them?
What if they say ‘no’ ?
I swore he always just says he wants to play a game. This is trippy
I enjoyed the mic falling at 24:50 or so; it added a lot in the believability department with how rampant "AI" narration is these days. I'm not joking. Let's hope they don't catch on. mandella effect is FAKE, it's a PSYOP!
I'm 42 and although it was still really before my time, I can clearly remember and attest to Karen Carpenter's anorexia. She was known for her beautiful voice and unfortunately her ED. She was such a lost soul. I hope she's happy and in a better place now ❤
Those of us in the mandela effect community here on youtube (many of us contributing to those 2 subreddits), know something that people casually interested in the mandela effect do not realize…NO ONE is affected by every mandela effect.

Why would Jigsaw say "would you like"?. The people he is talking to are hostages with no choice.

I used to imitate the saw movie quote alot in high school. For me it was always "I want to play a game."
"Hi Ho Silver Away" was definitely a thing
I was obsessed with this movie and pet cemetery and any other scary movies during this time. And it was def only 3 times like Bloody Mary.
It’s not a Mandela effect. It’s kids watching and listening to things when they’re little, then finding out they’re wrong.
There's an old Irish legend... I told you once, I told you twice; the Candyman, he don't play nice!
Movie lines being misremembered just proves what I’ve been saying for years- movies and TV rots your brain.
in Eurhythmics it was definitely "These."
You're all legends...
Candy man didn’t appear to the kids because they were only calling his name three times 😂

It has always been an anvil. This was my favorite movie as a child. The inscription on the hilt of the sword in the movie reads and has always read, “Whoso pulleth out this sword of this stone and anvil is rightwise king, born of England”. You can google a photo of it.
The candyman one is NOT a mandella effect! It was 5 times always!
technically it IS a mandela effect because none of these are real.
Thanks Ty🙏🏼🤔
Candyman was always 5x.
The Saw one is total BS. I've been saying "I would like to play a game" in that deep voice for nearly 20 years. ( Simce High School)
Candy man was 3 times because we dared each other to do it after watching the film. Plus one of my favourite songs ‘candy man’ by space hog sings the line 3 times and I knew someone who refused to sing it but I would say ‘yeah but you sing the verse twice so it’s actually 6 times’
