I installed R-Tech on my garage door, last summer. What a big difference since install, as my garage door faces West. However, I do believe your installation is facing the wrong way.
I think the thermal efficiency for hot and cold would be better with the foil facing the door. I just did mine with panels from matador but I didn’t know Lowes had a similar foil lined styro like you have. The conduction of heat or cold with the foil side against the door would repel from getting to the inside of garage and soaked up by the styrofoam. If you’re heating the inside your garage I understand but here in Hawaii the garage heat can get up and be really miserable . Do you have a thermal gun to test? Could be better to flip them I’m getting difference of 15 degrees on surface. I’m going with a similar one you have for the walls that get hit most by the sun. The surface temperature is 105 with double wall insulation but only air, no r-4 fiber
The shiny side reflects energy that is being shined on it. Light won't be shining through the garage door. The shiny part could reflect radiated heat back in to the garage though. I think if you care more about keeping it cool use the shiny to the outside, and the opposite if you want the garage to be more cooled. The garage will eventually get closer to the temperature outside, so if you wake up early in the morning before sun hits the garage door, the garage will probably still be cold.
Do you having a problem closing the garage door after installed the installation because the weight. I do and don't know why? Am using the same as yours but it would take couple times to close the door. Please help
One of the nicest fit install (tight fit and neat).. look like factory install
Great video. Looks amazing and a very tight fit.

All depends on your climate but even if it's wrong, you'll still get a big improvement.
Can you provide a link to the product you bought?
Liked the finish look!! What brand of insulation foam did you use?? Thx

He's wearing a hoodie so probably a cold climate and therefore the correct install with foil facing in.

Thanks for your time. Great tips.
You could have backed the screws off to let the panel slide in. Once the panel is in then tighten the screws back in. Thx
