It took me six months to finally watch all of these. Thanks Helpful Edits for posting these again, I've been a fan for close to a decade. You can tell why Louis stopped coming on. O&A and Jim were kissing his ass like any other celebrity, Ant was talking to him like he was Rumsfeld. Too bad all four of them took a big fall after this, what a shame.
Louie stopped coming in because he was super famous and didn't need the exposure anymore. On several occasions he mentioned that he listened to the show every day and a significant portion of his live audience was connected to O&A. He was writing and producing his FX show, touring his live act, writing and producing movies, raising two kids, etc Burr was the same, he was on the show a lot in the 06-11 era, then blew up/moved to LA and only came on the show every once in awhile bc he was too big to just be "one of the guys" on O&A. Plus you could tell at this point that they would lean on the guest to provide material instead of incorporating them into pre-planned segments...which was sort of the beginning of the end.
He can hear that Louis is tired of going on the show. All they want to talk about is Louis. They are treating him like every other celebrity that comes in. I love the part where Louis even says "I hate having to only talk about myself". He used to come on and just be one of the guys. Now they see big time Louis C.K. and it sickens him.
by 18:00 Louie was eating his Donuts (a box apparently O and A said) you can hear him and by 19:44 their not even listening their watching him (and thinking) "eat another one" I AM NOT on O & A's side one this one - who cares...let the man eat whatever and however. fuck it. listen to how they respond. but sorry for my first comment - just trying vent my anger.
Would this be the time he hosted SNL Pete Davidson was referencing to? I can really see it, he is talking so many times about being an asshole to other people on this show..
If you listen to Louie enough on O&A, he is interesting mostly bc he talks as if he is clueless of success, yet becomes more and more arrogant. I love him tho

Just finished watching 4th season. Great show, just great. Horace & Pete also. I wish Louis comes back all the way.
