how politics work.....last time i visited downtown ottawa a statue of terry fox was on the sidewalk outside the fenced parliament hill compound and oscar peterson's monument features the pianist seated beside a piano, sort of a metallic sculpture ensemble. oscar is also on a side walk and a street corner outside the national arts centre or n eh cee as it also known. someone decided to add two tiny outddoor speakers to that ensemble that blast random tunes.
It is on the CD Oscar Peterson Trio Live at the Blue Note 1990 (strictly speaking it's a quartet with OP, Herb Ellis, g, Ray Brown, b, and Bobby Durham, dr).
