THE GOAT OVERALL. BEST EVER AMONG MEN OR WOMEN. She had many great rivals, family dramas, injuries and retired really early. Goes on to marry another tennis legend and does charity work non stop. Hats off to this human being.

On the brink of seeing another golden slam but on the men's part. Soooo excited. I was too little when it happened in 1988 to really experience it.
Many have tried and failed (Borg, Navratilova, Williams) and others will crack under the immense pressure like Djokovic at the upcoming US Open. Not Steffi though, she was truly one of a kind and in a class of her own.
Djokovic is a great player and the greatest of his era in my humble opinion, but neither he nor Federer and Nadal are as dominant or mentally tough as Steffi.
And I was right. Steffi remains in a class of her own. The undisputed GOAT.

I didn't say you actually were an angry fan, though now i think you are, i said "i don't know why i think you're...". Fine i respect what you say, you don't like her it's okay, we don't need to agree. There are many players that own a GS, and they just don't seem to deserve it there's Ana, Sam, Francesca... they all have one, but they lose easily on easy tournaments, i don't care if she will ever get a slam, i just don't see it that important anymore to be considered as a good player. 2016? She can if she still plays good but that time she will be 35+ yrs old and it will be very hard for her. Power may decreased.

To old. Players finally realised that Serena has no stamina. If you make the points longer and make her run she can't stand more than a hour and half on court.
That's why she tries to win the point on the first serve or when she returns second serves.

@@ristoshikongo7730 As expected, Djokovic failed like many before him. Steffi is in a class of her own and the undisputed GOAT of the sport of tennis.
@@PravoslavniVitez Djokovic was the closest and when Nole surpasses Steffi's grand slam record then y'll have to reconsider the goat status. If he wins mixed doubles in Tokyo and us open it will still be considered an asterisk golden slam. Which has never been accomplished before. So, the dream is still alive.

@@ristoshikongo7730 Pls The competition is classes apart, no serve one slam wonder Sabatini and washed Navratilova and Evert don't count. Djoko had Nadal 1 year older and Federer who's just 4-5 years older so he didn't have it easy at all as they were pretty close to each other age wise too and he leads both h2hs. He's already surpassrd Navrat in weeks as #1 and still going, now If Djokovic achieves the CYGS and then probably retires with most slams overall. He'll be the 🐐 regardless of gender.
I just don't like Aga, it's that simple and I'm not sorry. I think she's a sore loser and gives sportsmanship a bad name, not to mention she's just a mediocre player especially when you compare her to Williams and Azarenka and even Sharapova on a good day. Forget a golden career slam I don;t think she'll ever win a slam period! As far as the golden career slam is concerned I think your'e right Serena is the only player on the tour right now capable of pulling it off.

@@nickelwindow53 she doesn't have to. The golden slam the record of weeks at number one, the 107 WTA titles against Serenas 77 is more than enough. Not to mention that steffi retired at age 30 while Serena is 40.

The most overrated player in professional tennis history. Dominated because Chris and Martina got old and Seles got stabbed. Boring and rude German.
Serena most overrated, she fails to dominate peak Henin or peak Venus.
Chrissy & especially Martina were still no 1 & no 2 when Steffi started to beat them. Especially Martina was like big 3 & Serena, she remains fit even after past 30. Performance matters than age.
Beating big 3 or Serena after age of 30 is good thing but beating 30 years old Chrissy & Martina is a bad things? That double standards.
Steffi dominated Navratilova in 1988/89 (was 4-0 H2H) even though Martina had her 7th and 6th-best seasons in a 22-year-long career (which is prime).
Seles did NOT dominant Graf in 1991/92 (was 1-3 H2H) even though Steffi had only her 11th and 9th-best seasons in a 17-year-long career (which is NOT prime).

Steffi doesn't inspire any love from tennis fans bc she never gave back to the sport that she took so much from. Just look at how coldly she treated Monica and how she handled the stabbing. That gives you an idea the kind of person Graf is. Come to think of it, Graf really isn't a person, she's a heartless, cold machine.
