Your medical team will make all of the difference in the world. There’s a world famous doctor in Houston who focuses on Lyme disease (I can’t remember his name). Geez,Brad, I’m so sorry to hear that you got hit with Lyme … You may feel worse at the start of antibiotics and then gradually feel better. It is called Hertzmyer ? syndrome. And if the antibiotics screws up your stomach, try it with some probiotics. it has helped me over the years. I have Lyme disease and I got rid of most of the symptoms basically because I let it go for a while before figuring out something was wrong with me. Got to take it slow and easy rest and try to eat well. I never really got rid of it because the last time I got tested, my antigen levels were still high, I’m hoping you’re able to nip it in the bud.

Lyme disease IS curable. Do some research especially on the use of teasel and find a good doctor. A really good doctor specialist. You got this man. Hang tough.
Feel better Brad, Lyme is an awful thing to have to deal with. For future excursions, I’d suggest adding permethrin spray to your arsenal. We try to stay as chemically free as possible, but I don’t hike without it now. There are groups on social media that have helpful insight as well. Hope you’re on the mend sooner rather than later.
He did check, and he found 8. Here in California, ticks are bad. We check we find, we hope. I know several people that have Lymes. During the process of discovery, as Brad is going through, it's really rough. But they are now all doing well. They continue to "watch" themselves, but are all living productive, well lives.

If your Dr. only wants to prescribe Doxycycline and you continue to feel bad, seek another doctor. I spent about 6 months in bed with my Mom bathing and feeding me. Wishing you well.
Get better, We have thought there would be ticks where you go. And a video we have wanted to see for a long time, is a video of your collection, and how you display it. You often refer to your collection, displaying things and cleaning the items up. It would be amazing for you just highlight your favorites if you are up to it. Maybe a video of your metal detectors, and how you store the, and maintain them. Maybe next week or the week after.
