Great tips on using Google Flights AND to book directly from the airline when possible!! I usually use Orbitz, but on some of my more extensive/long trips, I like going through the airline. Saves time when trying to make modifications during travel.
This is a great point. Every so often google flights will show you what's known as "cached" prices, meaning prices that were recently bookable (usually within hours or even minutes), but have since changed. Sometimes that's not the case though, and google flights just doesn't give you a link to the best website to book on. When that happens all you have to do is go to the airline's website.
Oh well one of the most important filters and perhaps one that novice bookers may omit the most due to inexperience may be not checking the Carry on box when it makes a huge diff in price of the flights they’re searching … esp on charters esp in Europe. Wizz, Ryan, easyj. You took the time to in detail comment on almost all the options in the filter row. Anyways found you today and your content and delivery is amazing. Thank you
Totally get what you mean 👍 definitely make sure to verify on the airline’s website when booking, too. The last thing you want is to show to the airport and realize your bag is too big.
You’ve got carry on and checked bag options in google flights, but I’d recommend always checking directly on the airline’s website and aiming to book there when possible too.
Im located in Los Angeles, CA. I wonder if anybody reading this, can please tell me if flights to Europe from Mexico are cheaper and how to book them from the USA? Thanks so much.
Generally not, but it depends on what exactly you’re looking for. Flights to Madrid from Mexico City would often be cheaper than flights to Madrid from a small airport in California for example.
You know you can just click though to the airlines website from Google flights instead of manually going to the website and entering all the info again?
Sometimes this is the case, but it depends on the airline and the exact flights. For example, most intra-EU flights on Lufthansa won't show a direct link in google flights.
@@DavidGTravels You can be heard perfectly fine. Once you get a studio mic mounted to boom arm with a cheap shock mount, you'll be sounding like a radio personality! 😎
Thanks! I must say you’re not the first to give similar feedback, and thanks for doing so. Check out my more recent videos and I think you’ll find I’ve been actively seeking out a balance between how I naturally talk using my hands a lot and something that’s smooth to watch.
Thanks for the feedback! Feel free to slow down the playback speed - I've tried to keep my videos at a speed that's not too fast, nor too slow. But luckily youtube gives you the ability to adjust the speed when needed.
➡Which of the ways of using Google Flights was most helpful for you to learn about?
golden bro. great guide man :) very helpful :)

@@DavidGTravels it helped indeed :)

Not knowing where and when...wow!!! Great video!

Thanks for sharing!
Good info, and very practical especially the advice of booking directly with the airline.
Thanks, glad you found it helpful! I’ve got a few more videos coming out this month about finding the best flight deals, so stay tuned!
that's really great, I have tried google flights, and I do find cheapest flights but sometimes those are not available.

How does that compare to Kayak w.r.t search?
I find it to be more comprehensive.
Thank you❤
You're welcome 😊
I found a roundtrip business class flight from Seville Spain to LAX for under $2000 with only one layover.
Happy travels!
clicking carry on button on is important to not get misleading prices which are displayed as very cheap with the charters
Not sure I get your comment - do you mean checking the carry-on box in Google Flights to avoid airlines that don’t allow normal-sized carry-on bags?

One downside of google flights as opposed to kayak is including baggage in price
Thanks for commenting, both sites will show you the lowest fares that don’t necessarily include baggage in the price.
@@DavidGTravels kayak has an option to include both carry on and checked baggage, while google only has an option to include carry on

Now let us all turn off the audio and enjoy his hands dancing 😂
Just keep captions on so you don’t miss out on all the google flights tips 👍
Man was a 16 years lead conductor for Pavarotti orchestra , it just stays with you for ever and now it's still put to a good purpose 👍
Audio sounds really bad'... To much echo.
Funny you should point that out, I’ve been working on improving my set up to deal better with the big echo in the room where that’s recorded.
Audio sounds fine

What about Cheapoair?
I don’t find cheapoair to be useful in any way that other search tools don’t offer.
Great info but swinging your hands like a conductor is so distracting. If you’re unable to stop this, then zoom in on your face.
