Well, if one chunk is 16*16*256 (it is) to work out the amount of possible blocks you could place in this area you'd have to multiply the three numbers together, very simple. Therefore, in one chunk you can fit 65536 blocks.
BUT if you include half slabs as their own block it means that you can place upwards of 131072 blocks.
BUT if you take into account pistons which mean you can push out blocks we can add an extra layer to that so that the build itself fits in one chunk but can expand into 147456 blocks, provided you are still building with half slabs.
So, as you said in the video: lots

I think it's more that it can't calculate the views fast enough, because sometimes refreshing on a video when not watching a lot of it, the views go up if you're logged out.

MUMBO you should do a vid/series where you teach grian Redstone and grian should do one where he teaches you building!!!
There isn't really that much to be taught about building. Mumbo knows the essentials, and the rest is just artists imagination. On the other hand, teaching redstone to Grian is going to take forever.
Jan Vehmanen yes but grian should teach him more like about advanced techniques and stuff and there's nothing wrong with it taking a long time to do something as long as you reach your goal
What do you mean by advanced techniques? Using buttons and trapdoors? Framing? I think Mumbo already knows these things. He just doesn't think about them when building because his thoughts are all on the redstone.
There's not that much stuff Grian can teach. If Mumbo wanted to get better at building, he should just try investing more time to it.

I love when we can make piston houses and and you react to it and we can see what others do with redstone
You should try and make a functional contraption which uses every item in the redstone tab of the creative inventory.
Remember one before invading enemies base always apply fire resistance, slow falling, water breathing, and regeneration potions. If you don't know what the potions of slow falling are then you need to play in the 1.13 pre-release.
I just wanna say... You are my inspiration! I have been inspired to challenge myself and build things such as 4x4 doors and cubic piston doors. Thank you mumbo. Moment of silence to this legend

Mumbo there is a chance that your base will be destroyed in the next update aquatic because all the water walls will turn into source blocks and they will flow and complete the air gap

They won’t turn into source blocks. Water just goes through non full blocks like fences, and slabs. It would definitely break som redstone but not his entire base. Also since that update is a while away, it’s possible hermitcraft would be in season 6
Nope. It's coming July 18th, 7 days from now, and Hermitcraft is still in Season 5.
