My former hometown . My dad and grandpa used to be preach at the Christian church , now the police station . Our old home is now gone but have foggy but fond memories of that tiny place . Owner of the Dairy King went to high school with my uncle . I love Commerce
Woah this is like entering the twilight zone with this thread my 2 favorite you tubers wth lol keep up the videos guys your work is appreciated and valued :) also have a good week y'all!
Being a New Yorker and a Yankees fan, I’ve heard many stories over the years. He’s arguably the most powerful baseball player to ever play the game. He hit monster home-runs w one arm and a bad knee. Crazy! His 1956 season was probably his overall best year.
# 7 " The Mick " is not just a Yankee but a ⚾ legend. He won 7 World Series. He always hustled. Enjoyed life on & off the field ! One of the 1st players to fully capitalize fiscally on his name. When he played , you often heard .... DA Yankees Win !! Beloved in the big 🍎.
This is so great. Mickey was what a baseball player aspired to be. I always loved what he said " if I knew I was gonna live this long I would have taken better care of myself." Your legend always lives on and your spirit. RIP Mickey. Have a good day Jordan.
Cool my Dad got him to sign a ball when I was 9, gave it to me when I turned 30, ha Started me hawking autographs off & on for 50 years, I’ve got a nice collection, baseball, basketball, football, hockey & music artists. Best was I took my little brother to meet him at a signing towards his end , my childhood hero, Dad would take me to the twinight doubleheader game when Yankees played the White Sox , great times
One of my Baseball heroes growing up. Love his accent when he talked. Got a baseball signed by him to me my Dad gave me for my birthday. I have it in a container in my living room. Tks, Jordan!!
My Dad was a HUGE Yankee fan. He took me to a double header at the stadium when I was a little girl. I got so squirmy sitting there for all that time. Of course we traveled to Cooperstown NY to the Hall of Fame to inspect all the history. Grew up loving baseball ... thanks Dad!
It would be nice if the Yankees or some of the high dollar players, or Yankees fans, would cough up some money to do some repairs to the house and barn. He is such a HUGE part of their history that it would be to their honor to make sure that these buildings survive in good shape. I am not a Yankees fan but even I know who Mantle is!!!
I don't know why many towns don't do things like that for their "stars". Even if every resident only gave $1.00 they could probably get enough money to make many repairs. Of course also depends on how big the town is, but still, something should be done. If I were a trades person I'd have to donate my time to help with something like that.
Yea I agree but town like this may have discouraged it because of the tourist traffic doesn't seem like a very come in were open town maybe maybe not look at Christmas story house as example people always there walking around know what I mean
When you mentioned you were coming to bgg Oklahoma I was hoping you would make it here. I know you love baseball. Since he was one of the greatest switch hitters of all time they have one statue batting one way in Commerce and the opposite batting one in Oklahoma City. It's in front of the brick town ballpark and done by the same artist.
I live right down the road in Joplin. We had a Mickey Mantle Holiday Inn for many years, and of course, Mickey played with the Joplin Miners. Thank you, Jordan!
Every time I think that you can't top your earlier vlogs - you go and do it again! Mick was my first, great crush. I adored that man with all the ardor and passion any 6-year old girl could possibly muster up! Mick and Roger were so hot in the mid-50's that they made guest appearances on almost EVERYBODY's TV shows and I insisted that we turn our only TV - a little black and white Zenith (with the 12" round screen!) to those shows so we could watch all of them. Fortunately for me, that little girl love for the tall guy with the cute smile also made me start watching baseball games and that developed into a life long love of the game. Mick is my hero too and I can't thank you enough for sharing this visit with us!
I was little when Mickey was playing, but , I remember his name. Mickey was admired by millions of people across America, and had a special admiration by youngsters. Wow, Mickey was such a clean cut All American icon. It is special to see his hometown and house. Thanks for the trip and the information Jordan. Love this.😎
These little town's are full of interesting facts. I did not know Mickey Mantle but I feel I do now thanks to you. Your keeping his memory alive, I hope someone who knows his family sends them this vlog to see. Thank you Jordan.....Brilliant.
There is something charming about little places like this that hold such a huge piece of history. I'm glad to see that Mickey's house is a designated historical site. This was a well put together vlog!
Mickey Mantle started a chain of country restaurants after he retired. I waited in line for a autographed picture and I shook his hand. A real thrill for a little kid.
🦁 Jordan, it is very nice to see that Mickey Mantle’s home is still intact and has not been vandalized. PaPaw is going to be tickled on seeing this video. 🤩. Great Video! 👏👍👏
OMG! Three thumbs WAY UP!!! This was truly awesome to see! Mickey Mantel was one of my heroes through my dad. But by the time that I was born, Mickey retired. But my dad kept telling me of how he loved the Yankees in general. But, this vlog was in dedication to my dad. Thanks, dad! And yes, "The Mick" was a true legend! Thank you, Jordan!
Looking at things like these reminds me of the planted mustard seed starting from humble beginnings, only to flourish into a legend later in life. So very cool to see the original home of one of baseball's best!
My mom saw the Clipper and Mickey Mantle back when she was a little girl going to the games with her dad. My mom was born and raised in the Bronxs, You should see us when it's the Yankees against My Redsoxs all hell breaks loose 🤣
Mickey plays himself in a cameo appearance in a Doris Day/Cary Grant movie. She gets him and other team members thrown out of a game because she argues with the ump.
You need to go to Independence, Ks. And checkout the stadium. It's the home of the first lighted night baseball game. There's a lot more great history in Indy. God bless and Thanks.
Such an awesome vlog Jordan, Thank You for sharing !! Another famous Major League Baseball Player back in the day was Elden Auker from Norcatur Kansas . I dated his great nephew. He told me his “ uncle” was a great guy to know 👍🏻 Loves to the Jahster 😘💋💋💋💋 And safe travels .
Mickey is entombed in a mausoleum at Sparkman Hillcrest cemetery in Dallas, so if you ever come to Texas you may want to vlog there. Greer Garson, Tom Landry, Maureen Connolly are among some of the famous people buried there.
Well take me out to the ball game!!!!! This was really a treat being a fan of baseball. I was a tom boy back in my day just walking around with my bat and ball. My daughter is a big fan of baseball and now her daughters are playing in tournaments. This was really a treat thank you Jordan... Love to you and Jah
I just watched this AGAIN! Great job and thank you. If Mickey would have taken better care of himself, he could have been the #2 MLB Player of All-Time behind the The Babe!
Awesome Jordan! I was there about 20 years ago and u could still see ball marks on the old shed. The Micks still my favorite yankee! Another great video.😄
I love how excited you get when you talk about baseball. Mickey Mantle was indeed one of the best. They should preserve that house before it falls down. Enjoyed the vlog very much.
A true Legend! Just goes to show you that from humble beginnings you can rise to greatness. Just an incredible story and great job telling it! Thank You! ⚾️ ⚾️
Great vlog. I'm not a big baseball or sports fan, but even I have heard of Mickey Mantle! I love seeing the birthplaces of anyone - seeing how they lived, etc. I'm told that as a child, I lived in OK for about 18 months, but don't know where. The kitchen cabinet in their kitchen is almost identical to the Sellers brand baking cabinet I have in my kitchen. Cool to have something kind of in common with a legend lol. Keep on vlogging!
Jordan I love the enthusiasm that you have in your heart about your vlogs especially the things that you personally have a connection with. Your spirit.....SHINES! Thank you for your entertainments!
Kinda neat the the barn has a outlet AND socket (both of which are clearly seen @ 7:43). It's been a while since I read "The Mick" (1985). Did the Mantles have any farm animals or something? Anyone know?
Great vlog. Loved hearing about MIckey and seeing his boyhood home. He was one of the greats. Thanks for taking us along. Can't wait to see where we go tomorrow. Safe Travels and Take Care.
Wow! Mickey Mantle great player and champion! Sad to see his childhood home falling apart from water 💦 damage. You would think someone would bring that home back to standards once again.
Great vlog. The Mick was the best. Boy, that town is really small and that house. How did they ever have enough room? And the barn! Too bad it wasn’t preserved long before now. I suppose the town has no money for that. 😥
What a legend!!! This was a great vlog about the fantastic Mickey Mantle. Thank you for sharing such wonderful history. Much love to you and Jah❤❤❤🦁. Be safe
Hi Jordan, what fabulous old gas stations, and not a soul about anywhere. Oh my, that barn looked like it was going to drop down any minute. What a lovely little house and I love the old furniture in it. What a BRILLIANT statue for him aswell. Great vlog Jordan.
WOW! You’re in my neck of the country now! Wish I could have met you! Hopefully you get to go to Tulsa and see The Outsiders house & Leon Russell’s recording studio
That winding path is the actual path Mickey took in 1976 after knocking down a 6 pack of Miller Lite... He liked his statue in his hometown, but when he got up to it, exhausted after walking that winding patch... he tripped over some weeds, and fell on his face. Old timers say he got up, mumbled a few things, and walked off into the sunset never to see his old hometown again. Just kidding.. thanks, Jordan!!
Ive told this story before but I grew up in Commerce when Micks Mom still lived in town . Back in the day Mick would come to visit and leave his mom a box of signed baseballs that she would give out to the kids in town . Sadly I was still a little young and never went to Mick's mom house to ask for one . Did anyone else from Commerce ever hear this story and get one of those signed balls?
This was an awesome video, my 12 year old son LOVES baseball and has a MM original baseball card and has become very interested in some of the older players now because of it. What a freat informative video, thank you so much for doing it, I saved it for him to watch.
Love Mickey Mantle. I think I would have been tempted to take a small piece of wood on the ground from his barn but that would probably be wrong. 😬. Thanks for another great one Jordan!
I believe they used tennis balls and not baseballs, they would have destroyed the side of that house. I did that with my boys in are backyard. You can throw it as hard as a base ball and the slightly smaller size sharpens the eye. Sure saved a lot of damage in our backyard.
You should go ahead and visit the Baseball hall of fame soon, at least your grandpa can see it through you. Just throwing it out there, don't want it to be another "shoulda, coulda, wished I woulda"
My former hometown . My dad and grandpa used to be preach at the Christian church , now the police station . Our old home is now gone but have foggy but fond memories of that tiny place . Owner of the Dairy King went to high school with my uncle . I love Commerce
Wow, you have roots all over the place!
Hey Adam ! Hope the new place is working out for ya brotha 👊 👍
Woah this is like entering the twilight zone with this thread my 2 favorite you tubers wth lol keep up the videos guys your work is appreciated and valued :) also have a good week y'all!
TheDailyWoo That’s Awesome Adam. We have a crossover video here... I’m a New Yorker...... Did it just get weird? .....(crickets) haha.
Beautiful little town
Growing up in N.Y. Mickey Mantle was legend. At his end his honesty and contrition made him even greater. An icon.
Being a New Yorker and a Yankees fan, I’ve heard many stories over the years. He’s arguably the most powerful baseball player to ever play the game. He hit monster home-runs w one arm and a bad knee. Crazy! His 1956 season was probably his overall best year.
Mickey was a country boy. NYC must have been a culture shock for him.

Love this.😎
I got his autograph in 1964 when the Yankees were in Boston playing the Red Sox.
Very cool
Thanks for saying good things about my great great great uncle

Your nerdiness makes you and your work more endearing!!!! Thank you❤❤❤❤❤❤
That’s my hometown! My grandmother knew him very well and he had the hots for her.
Mickey Mantle started a chain of country restaurants after he retired. I waited in line for a autographed picture and I shook his hand. A real thrill for a little kid.
i was born in 1958 so he was my hero
🦁 Jordan, it is very nice to see that Mickey Mantle’s home is still intact and has not been vandalized. PaPaw is going to be tickled on seeing this video. 🤩. Great Video! 👏👍👏
I love The Mick, truly a legend! It makes me sad that his later life his life was so full of problems and disappointments.
I'm so glad you vlogged Mickey Mantle's childhood home. My grandfather gave me the love of baseball too and this brings back sweet memories.
Big fan of #7, great work....., I think Maris was #9
Jimmy Roberts yes. Roger wore #9. Not 6.
R Stefanie yea joe torre was 6
I'm jealous.
Look at all of those parking spaces.
Awesome story - at the end of the day the moral of the story remains true....just keep swimming! ❤️

The accident that Billy Martin died in is only a few miles from my house. That was a very sad day for us Yankee fans.
1951 Bowman was his rookie.1952 Topps was second year those where the one that got put into the water
You could write on postage stamp what i know about baseball lol, but today i know a lot more Jordan, enjoyed the vlog xxx

Wow this wonderful vlog. So glad you got to visit Mikey's house love visiting old little towns
Thank you so much for doing this!! I let my dad watch it, he liked micky!! So seeing this made him happy!!
I just watched this AGAIN! Great job and thank you. If Mickey would have taken better care of himself, he could have been the #2 MLB Player of All-Time behind the The Babe!
Micky Mantle and Derek Jeter will always be my two favorite Yankee players. ⚾️

Well done!! I guess I am a nerd too!! Love these kind of vlogs!! Thanks Jordan!!!
If you were in Oklahoma you should have went to the home/ birthplace of Pepper Martin
Great vlog. The Mick was the best. Boy, that town is really small and that house. How did they ever have enough room? And the barn! Too bad it wasn’t preserved long before now. I suppose the town has no money for that. 😥
He was a natural. I love the Mick. This was a great vlog. So awesome👍🏻😎
I wish they could fix it up. And fix up the house up too
Great slice of History i do like the statue ! Lovely very enjoyable vlog ! Thank you Jordan nice one !

Hi Jordan, what fabulous old gas stations, and not a soul about anywhere. Oh my, that barn looked like it was going to drop down any minute. What a lovely little house and I love the old furniture in it. What a BRILLIANT statue for him aswell. Great vlog Jordan.
Very cool. I did not know about the Yankee numbers. Thumbs up!
Great vlog Mickey and the Yankees rule!
You do the best vlogs bro! 😎⚾ love how that totally could have been from the ball hitting the house..incredible!!
Thanks man
Hey welcome to the great state of Oklahoma!!! Now you got too go downtown okc!!! Thanks for coming!!!
I'm not making it to OKC this trip
WOW! You’re in my neck of the country now! Wish I could have met you! Hopefully you get to go to Tulsa and see The Outsiders house & Leon Russell’s recording studio
There is a lot in that area to cover. It will be interesting to see what he picks up on Oklahoma.

I REALLY enjoy your videos Jordan....thanks
Roger Maris was #9 not #6. 6 was retired for Manager Joe Torre
Great vlog! As a Yankee fan I really enjoyed this! Thank you for showing this. Just one of the greatest players of all time!
Mantle legend
Can you look inside rhe windows inside the house? And the barn too
This was an awesome video, my 12 year old son LOVES baseball and has a MM original baseball card and has become very interested in some of the older players now because of it. What a freat informative video, thank you so much for doing it, I saved it for him to watch.
Great vlog of a legend! Great detailed history about Mickey! Thanks Jordan!
The G.O.A.T.!!!! ❤⚾️ 🎉
Back in thedwy, your number was the spit in the line up that you hit.
Love Mickey Mantle. I think I would have been tempted to take a small piece of wood on the ground from his barn but that would probably be wrong. 😬. Thanks for another great one Jordan!
Awesome Jordan! U made this so fun. Thank you for sharing
Watching you enjoy makes your vlogs enjoyable 😁😉
Very well done video....love it! Thank you!
Awsome vlog!!!! I wish my dad (who's in Heaven) could have seen this....he would have lived it! Super cool...thanks so much Jordan! 👍
What an interesting vlog once again, Jordan Thank you

Jordan I’m sure it’s redundant hearing this from me...but again, well done and thank you! From an Ohioan 🎯
I appreciate it! It's nice to hear some kind words occasionally from people
WRONG on the Yankee numbers, 6 was Dimaggio, and 9 was Maris
5 was dimaggio
Bucket List vlog from Commerce OK. 🦁 ❤️
You should go ahead and visit the Baseball hall of fame soon, at least your grandpa can see it through you. Just throwing it out there, don't want it to be another "shoulda, coulda, wished I woulda"
Great history thanks Jordan
💋Love these all American vlogs Jordan! Mr. Midwest! Continued safe travels. ~Love and Light 💖Carli
Hope your vlog motivates someone to help maintain the house and barn. Small treasures for great American heroes. :-) another great job Jordan!
Just wondering how many dents in the barns corrigated iron resulted from base ball pitches too?
Great Video...Although Joe Torre was #6 and Roger Maris was # 9
My mistake
Why wasnt it a musem ? Or passed down to the family his kids or grand kids?
