The sumptuary laws are interesting in the post Plague years in the 1300s. It's true nothing ever changes. After the Medieval pandemic there was a labor shortage and labor and merchant classes were in a position to demand more compensation and some began to dress better than the nobility themselves. And if there's one thing the upper classes can't stand it's a bunch of laborers getting uppity. The complaints about over dressed peasants were as common then as "no one wants to work anymore" is today. Nothing ever really changes.

I heard about that rooster laying an egg recently. Science says it was a hen that had something go wrong in one of its ovaries, causing it to get a condition that made it adapt a male appearance and even crow but it was still technically female.and could lay eggs.
