To answer your question yes those are championship metals. In fact the Blue Devils not only have recorded the highest winning score ever with a 99.65 out of 100, they have won 21 world championships since 1976.
The fact that this is probably the third time (second time performing) they've played this that day makes it even more amazing. And yes those are championship medals they are wearing... After the winner is announced they get to perform one last time

Yeah Blue Devils won Grand Champion in 2023 and it’s probably going to be the same In 2024. This is there encore run after they were announced as the winner of 2023 DCI Championship. Just glad they got rid of them System Blue Drums and finally went back to real sounding drums. They got the Ludwig Performance Series Drums now. Rip-Holy Name Cadets

DCI is a big competition that happens every year since 1972, there are lots of great shows to watch from a bunch of groups, there are truly amazing ones such as Blue Devils 2017, SCV 2018, Blue Coats 2016, and more, but I suggest Mandarins 2023 and Phantom Regiment 2023, I look forward to more of these reactions 😁
As much as I can say corp isn’t my style but it’s very musical and moving remind me of Disney movies lol and as a trumpet player the screams be having me like yesss again lmao cause I’ll do the samething
Love the bluedevils ❤❤. You should watch Santa Clara Vanguard 2018, and Bluecoats 2022 is also very good. There are so many good shows to watch. Ooo, and also Carolina Crown 2023 or actually really any show of theres. Im just mentioning more recent shows, but the list goes on and on.
Not taking anything from DCI drumcorps b/c they are dope...but keep in mind that they have pre-recording additions (i.e. sound effects, etc) to their shows to add fullness. It's allowed for their presentations/competition. And they are heavily mic'd.
I love videos like this. Maybe one day we will see more respect and celebration of different marching styles. Little videos like this are definitely breaking that barrier.

DCI 2023 was a great year with many many creative show designs. This show was based on Matisse’s Cut-Outs.
This show single-handedly convinced me to like Both Sides Now (their ballad). Best that God-forsaken song has ever sounded.

Blue Coats '22 was fire. Innovative, different, and well performed.
