Jackie (and Jimmy) I've been aware of your car and driving for several years within TA but only recently started watching your youtube stuff. I gotta say, I love it. I already knew I liked your cars and driving style but these videos are so refreshing versus all the clickbait vapid BS in the car community on YT. It doesn't feel like watching a youtuber at all, it feels like watching some fun car enthusiasts with fast cars doing real driving and real genuine content. Sadly I don't know if the channel will ever blow up without falling into the annoying YT trends and clickbait crap but please continue making stuff just like this. Love the videos!
It's different and somewhat difficult for sure. At one point we felt compelled to be more views-driven, until we said fuck the view count. Now we just make whatever video we like to make, because this channel is our passion project. Even if we never blow up to be the next LZ or TJ, it won't stop us from doing what we love. We did not. I think we might just be pushing the engine a little tooooo hard haha. AMS was very strict with telling us Map 4 was very much a do-or-die map. Map 3 is detuned slightly to a much more happy place
Jackie what are your thoughts on the Subaru community branding your car as "illegal" for the past 3 years? Just typical Subaru salt or is there anything to it?
Back to back SM championships and more records/wins than we can count are achievements no one will ever be able to take away from us. Was the double diffuser illegal? No, but they did ban it for the following year. Same with DAS from Merc F1, just to name a few. Also I suspect it’s just one dude rather than a whole community, hah.
That was a Jimmy Diggs exaggeration, it was more they clarified the rules and ruled our existing splitter outside the allowance for StreetMod. We can totally trim the splitter to meet the regs with little performance detriments, but we would rather preserve the car’s current form. It’s already legendary
