    LOVE what you do: The 3 P's - PATIENCE (the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, problems, or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious.), PERSISTENCE (the fact of continuing in an opinion or course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition.), and PERSEVERANCE (persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.)

      Thanks! This really helps put the 3 P's into perspective. You've got to really want it! It took me 6 years to metal detect my first gold nugget. After that, something just clicked and I have found well over 100 pieces since!

    My grandad prospected for years and he would use peach tree forked branches. Liked them because they would bend well without breaking. He would notch the end and slide a small piece of whatever he was looking for in the end and away he would go. He died in 1986 but I still have 3 or 4 of his forked branches.

      Very interesting history Kim! I have never heard of anyone using peach tree wood before. Your granddad must have had a fondness for those trees and or his spirit reacted well with the wood! You could possible frame one of the branches? Thanks for sharing!!

    Thanks for the great video! I’ve had some amazing artifact finds using dowsing rods made with copper rods and wooden handles. Best of luck💚

    Interesting blog and topic. I am still pretty new to dowsing. I am in Africa and there is a lot of gold around. I just made my rods from wardrobe wire coat hangers. And started dowsing. I would ask people to hide things and I would look for the stuff with my rods. Then I was refining the process and then wen off to my gold claim on admission to look for the gold veins. The main thing I would do was simply to talk to the rods (after observing some religious practice) and ask it questions and the rods would respond strongly as I would be walking. For example, I would ask, I am looking for a gold bearing being that has a grade of about 20 grams per tonne and the nearest to the surface within this area. Then the rods would point
    But the thing is when I would ask for the depth, it would say around 25 metres deep and the being about 2 metres wide, going 45 degrees etc. So it was my first time and you know the process and expenses of digging 25 deep and blasting is quite costly. So I just need assurances and testimonies from others that it works. I would be left with an egg in my face if i try it then find nothing! Has anyone ever got that deep?

      The consensus on dowsing varies greatly. What I do know is that if you never try, you will never find out!

      Hehe, indeed Pat! I like that reference to deer hunting. Positive thinking can go a long way! Most of the gold I have metal detected was not by chance, I was on good ground and I was confident that I was going to find it. The days I get frustrated or unfocused, no nuggets.

    I've doused using 12gauge copper wire. The handle bend was the width of my hand with two feet of surface scan. Then you hold it between your fingers and press your thumb into the bend nice and tight. There is no missing a target for sure when it crossing.

      I will give it a go Captn. I've always used mild steel wire, copper will be next.

    dowsing works,, try grounding your rods by touching the ends of your rods to the ground,,,,before you start dowsing,,,,,,i think it makes the rods more sensitive ,,,,,,

    I found out I had dumb ass I was operating the detector on the wrong frequency (I'm new) not to familiar with the detector old whites gold master 4/b just the way it was was out with the group learning next time

    • @ColoradoGoldCamp
      @ColoradoGoldCamp  4 роки тому +1

      It's happens to all of us Gringo. It can be really tough to learn. The gold master is a good VLF machine and will find small gold! The key is practicing with small pieces of lead or gold and learning the sounds of the machine. Once you get confident with it, your success will soar.

      Thanks Brandt. There are so many techniques and ways to improve our odds of finding treasure. Even if something helps us to look at things in a different way, can make all of the difference.

    Would you consider making a metal detecting video without the headphones so I can hear what the “hot rocks” sound like compared to the metal?

    • @ColoradoGoldCamp
      @ColoradoGoldCamp  4 роки тому +1

      Good idea SCS. I will keep that in mind next time I am out detecting. It took me a long time to learn the slight sound nuances of my detector.

    I've got some dowsing rods. I've only use them to talk to ghosts, but now I'm going to try looking for gold with them! If you want to feel something spooky, hold them in your hands and ask the air around you if there are any spirits that are willing to talk to you. They will move and you will tingle. Then maybe ask them to help you find some gold. Just a thought.

    Yo thanks for sharing your experiences with us, i enjoy your attitude and temperament, you're a cool dude, never seen anything negative on any of your videos!! The dowsing thing, total waste of time i reckon!! How does it work? For it to have any credibility at all, wouldn't you have to keep your wrists at an absolute and continues 90o angle with relation to the horizon? I consider that impossible manually, plus anything left to belief and faith, can never be argued scientifically!! Its a bit too "juju" man!! Anws, thanks again, respect and all the best!!

    Are you still dowsing? Would you be interested in dowsing for a greater cause in helping your country? We're looking for a few good dowsers to learn extreme dowsing.

    hello, did you either put material inside so that the bars do not fall into metal or mineral? Or do you use holding techniques that save them from them? Are there any samples in it to find valuable? Bars for metal for space give different results, can you read those shapes? Do some research or you will never succeed.

      Dowsing is something you have to have faith in. Try it over some buried water lines and see what happens.
