Like, do people don't get bored seeing cool, serious badass fights in anime? Gear 5 Luffy is so very unique, he fight so freely. I don't understand the hate on Gear 5 Luffy because it's so goofy and y'all don't realize that Luffy is always goofy ever since the beginning
Oda really took the risk for Gear 5 but it was actually so original. It was very different than other shonen. We are also having fun, laughing, seeing Gear 5 in full display

Gear 5 come in an era in which every nain protagonist have edgy power up with auras, skull and shit. Look ichigo or deku. Oda being able to read the room has gone the direct opposite way.
