  • Fresh off the desk is an abstract watercolor painting. I've been seeing this muted blue and blush color combo all over the home decor industry, and I wanted to give it a shot. Sit back and enjoy this relaxing video. I absolutely love watching the color spread across the page the way watercolor does.
    Also, this print will be available in my upcoming collection. Make sure you are on my email list if you want to be the first to hear about it! sparrowsprings...

    Hey Peeps,
    My name is Sara, and I own and run Sparrow Springs. Sparrow Springs is where I offer my work in the form of printable artwork so you can decorate your home in an affordable and flexible way that fits your budget and style.
    I am running my business with my husband, child, and pets in tow. It makes for an interesting, and crazy lifestyle. Art isn't always happening in a convenient fashion. Around here I am making art by whatever means necessary.
    I have been in the profession since the age of 15 when my first book cover was published. I have been selling my art in many different mediums ever since. Including, but not limited to, pencil, acrylic, watercolor, paper mache, woodworking, fiber arts, polymer clay, concrete, driftwood, and even mashed potatoes. :D

    The transparency you achieve in your paintings is just truly beautiful. Nice colors as well.

    Love this, I feel like you read my mind I've been working out this idea in my head for awhile now. You really nailed the colour scheme and moving the paint as you dried it with the blow dryer was genius, I never would have thought of that. Just beautiful!

    Hi, totally loved this 🤩😍 Can this be done on a canva? Or just paper? Thank you!

      Hey thanks! I am not sure this would work so well on canvas as a lot of the look depends on the ability for the paint to flow freely across the page, but I have had thoughts to try it 😁

      If you first apply watercolor grounds to the canvas, in an even layer (two layers), it should give great results!

    Hi, do you think by drying the layers made this look? Just found your page. Awesome work!!

      Yep! That was the intent 😁 drying with pigment near the edge will give the hard edged look.

      I am not entirely sure of the paper weight, but it was a cheaper cold press watercolor paper 😊

      @SparrowSprings  2 роки тому

      Rubber cement, it’s a type of glue used for temporary projects
